greg775
Nice to judge a guy on less than 20 at bats.
ChiSox_Sonix
Look at the whole team right now. offensively they all suck and moist have the past 10 games or so. It's disgusting. And if you look at it, Borchard, Burke and Gload have 60% of our hits tonight :headshake
chisoxfan79
Lets face it something about that stadium that makes the team play like s*** I don't know what or why, talent is not the problem. I figured since they got over their metrodome curse this year maybe they would get over this Oakland problem too, it looks like it is not going to happen. AngelasDaddy0427
Boy Borchard hasn't even played for a whole week straight and already people are calling for his head. :headshake This is only one Series and at least KC is getting their revenge against the Twinkees
ZoomSlowik
Boy Borchard hasn't even played for a whole week straight and already people are calling for his head. :headshake This is only one Series and at least KC is getting their revenge against the Twinkees I agree, but I really wish we could take advantage of the situation. Can we please give Borchard more than 15 at bats before we cruxify him? I think the bigger culprits right now are Ordonez and Valentin. Ordonez has a couple of hits, but doesn't look like himself yet, and Jose hasn't done much in a while. I think for now, we really need to keep Rowand in the lineup, we can't afford to give up outs with Timo or Gload in the outfield, especially since they are weaker defensively(I guess we can throw Harris in here too). It'd also be nice to see Uribe or Harris start about 5 games a week instead of always shuffling. My vote is Uribe, since he seems to offer more as a defender, even if he isn't hitting. Rowand44
I agree, but I really wish we could take advantage of the situation. Well if you think about it, it should be the twins capatilizing while we're playing oakland and they're playing kc but I understand where your coming from. Borch is going to be fine, he looks much better up here then he has in the past, sure he doesn't have a ton of hits yet but he definitely looks much better at the plate. I don't think borch is going to become a superstar like many people have hoped for but I think he'll be a very solid every day player for the sox in the near future. winninguglyin83
The sox need Uribe and Harris to get on base the way they were doing it earlier this season.

I agree, and to do that I think Ozzie needs to put them in the line-up everyday. Move Harris back to CF, Urbie to 2B and let them face all pitchers. If they don't get on, they don't get on, but they have to learn how to hit both lefties and righties eventually. I'm not a big fan of a shifting line-up, and certain players prolonged struggles are a reason why.

AROW needs to be in CF everyday and Willie Harris needs to be at second base every day. Uribe is just too interested in swinging for a HR every time and I trust Harris alot more to be willing to do the little things. Willie Harris is a fantastic defensive second basemen. As a centerfielder he is a fantastic defensive second basemen. AROW is the best option we have right now in CF. Plus he's hitting .290 plus. What more could we expect from him. AngelasDaddy0427
I agree with you about Aro but not on Willie Well I just think that Willie seems like he's more willing to do the little things. Juan seems to just close his eyes and hope for the best. That swing just makes me cringe as well. Plus Willie is a better defensive second basemen. With Frank out, Guillen can shift around the defensive alignment and DH certain players. A-Row can play all three OF positions, so when Borch sits, ARow is in right, when Harris DH's, Arow plays center...etc.

A-Row can play all three OF positions, so when Borch sits, ARow is in right, when Harris DH's, Arow plays center...etc. You'd seriously consider DH'ing Harris? Once Sox begin to face RH'ing pitching again, Harris will find himself at 2B; where he should be. His value is derived from speed/range in the infield, something which is wasted if he DH's. Uribes recent struggles only help Harris' likelihood of reemerging at 2B. Acquiring Jurassic would really prevent a merry-go-round of players switching between OF positions and DH. Hopefully, if traded for, Carl would approve becoming a full time DH. His switch hitting bat prevents the need of tinkering, while Sox won't become jeopardized with his subpar defense. Rowand is the best defensive CF we have. He needs to be left there.
moneyman6544
I can't stand JoBlow borchard anymore. Give him time to settle in as an everyday hitter or til he gets about 40 at-bats to start hatin' on him.
