BobDylan
Yes. I often turn on the radio while watching the game these days. Hawk and DJ have a tendency to drift away from the game (not for a pitch or two, for an inning or two) and that sometimes bothers me quite a bit. I'm sure Rooney and Farmer would do it too, but they can't seeing as how they have to be as descriptive as possibly when calling the game due to the fact they are radio announcers. Al Lopez Ghost (old)
I think they do a real good job. You want another poll idea? Who would you prefer as White Sox TV color guy - DJ or Harpo Marx?
megs04sox
i dont like the radio guys b/c they never say the frickin score. you could listen for 20 minutes without hearing if the sox are winning or losing.

The Beast
i dont like the radio guys b/c they never say the frickin score. you could listen for 20 minutes without hearing if the sox are winning or losing. Exactly. Really pisses me off sometimes. One time I was on the golf course Dave Wills was talking about how sometimes closers blow the lead and lose the game. I called in, and the guy is like no, the Sox won, 5-3. Then I asked what the hell is Dave talking about? He said, "Oh thats Dave for you, he rambles off like crazy." POTUSChris
I don't like them at all. I find them extremely boring. And I agree with what others said about them and taking forever to give the score. Another thing. I have to disagree with those who say they stick to the game. Everytime I turn them on they're talking about something else. I once had to listen to them talk about the ducks on the field for 10 minutes.
Nokona
I listen to Rooney and Farmer every day.
moneyman6544
I said yes because they know the game, say what they want, and they're pretty funny.
Dan Pasqua's FedEx Driver
They know the game, they have their finger on the pulse of what's going on. I can live without the Vin Scully impressions. I would like to know the score now and then. Cub fans are insanely jealous of both of our announcing teams, and that makes me dig them even more. The Critic
I like them......LIKE..... I'm not crazy about them, by any stretch, but they do a decent job and I enjoy the broadcast.

Wise Master Buehrle
Uhhh They say the score before and after every commercial break. It's never been a problem for me.
qwerty
Uhhh They say the score before and after every commercial break. It's never been a problem for me. They should be saying it some how every batter or every other batter.
Queen Prawn
Uhhh They say the score before and after every commercial break. It's never been a problem for me. It's radio, it should be a couple times an inning not just before the commercial break. I've had times where I had to wait 15-20 minutes for the damned score. between that and Farmer's life stories, it's tough for me to listen to those two... Ozzietheairedale
Tough one to answer because I think Rooney is OK but Ed Farmer is the worst announcer in the history of radio. He sounds completely bored except when he is talking about something other than baseball - which is alot. I don't want to hear about Farmer's religious beliefs or who his friends are or who he scouted 15 years ago. How about getting excited about a basehit or double play? Yoda
I listen to Rooney and Farmer most of the time. I don’t find them annoying so that’s why I enjoy listening to them.
