striker
He has turned into the biggest pussy. Nibbling at the outside corner has just burned him. He was good last year cause he pitched inside. Someone needs to start calling his pitches from the dugout. If Scho gets rocked tomorrow I hope to god KW gets us another pitcher.
AngelasDaddy0427
I agree he left a cookie right over the plate and it screw us over. Then again I can't really say he pitched horrible. The only people who did anything offensively were AROW and Jose. Thats pretty bad.
Gene Honda Civic
#1 difference for loaiza this year -- He gives up runs immediately after we score them -- He has no stones. Today Sox 3rd -- We score 2 Oakland 3rd -- Loaiza gives up 1 Sox 6th -- We score 1 A's 6th -- Loaiza gives up 3. 7/8 vs. Angels Top 1 -- loaiza gives up 1 Bottom 1 -- We score 2 Top 2 -- Loaza gives up 1 Bottom 5 -- We score 3 Top 6 -- Loaza gives up 3 7/2 @ cubs We score 2 in 1st Loaiza gives up 1 in second, fourth, and sixth; and 2 in the third 6/27 W Sox score 9 in the first 5 innings Loaiza gives up 2 in the second and third. 6/22 vs Cleveland Sox score 8 in the first three innings Loaiza gives up 6 in the fifth... He doesn't finish the 5th. 6/17 @ florida Sox score 1 in the 5th.. Loaiza gives up one in the bottom of the 5th -- Sox lose in extras 6/11 vs ATL W Sox score 4 in the second and 1 in every inning after that. Loaiza gives up 2 in the fourth and 4 in the fifth. 6/6 @ seattle Loaiza pitches a good game 2 ER in 6.1 IP Billy Koch gives up 3 in .1IP 6/1 @ Oakland Loaiza pitches alright... Sox take him off the hook by getting to Oaklands BP... Sox lose in extras... He's won 2 games in since June 1st, and those games we won, 10-8 and 9-4.... The games he's won have been in spite of his performances.... After those two games on the left coast last time, he's been nothing short of a limp armed BP machine. ZoomSlowik
I can't really blame the offense today. They got 3 runs against one of if not the toughest starter in the AL. We gave him a 3-1 lead going into the 6th. If he can't at least get out of that inning, it's his own damn fault. And this is the guy that wants a $9 mil contract? He Gawn. AngelasDaddy0427
There is no way that his punk ass is worth that. He should be grateful if we offer him another minor league contract after the season is over.
JoshPR
All the hits were with him ahead in the Count. Crosby's homer was on 1-2 count
CubKilla
A playoff "contender" isn't going to do too much contending with two medicore pitchers in their top 4. Schoenweis sucks, Garland is mediocre at best, Loaiza's good start to '04 (he was getting "W's" even with all the long balls) after '03 had me hoping that maybe KW found a diamond in the rough, but it is becoming apparent that the '04 Loaiza is closer to the '04 Garland than the '03 AL Cy Young Runner-Up. But maybe they'll all get hot at the same time if the Sox make the playoffs!
Heads22
I don't know why you guys are so disappointed in him. Last year was an abberation. He's not a 20 win pitcher. He can be a 12-15 win pitcher. I don't know why we are expecting so much out of him...
ZoomSlowik
When he has only allowed one run through 5 and has a 2 run lead, I would like to see him get through the sixth without losing it. Garcia and Buehrle seem fine, and Garland has been decent recently. I'd like to see Loaiza get back to the point where he can get at least two good starts out of 5 with another okay one, but he has been rocked pretty hard. I'm not as worried about Shoney since the only way he sees the field in the playoffs is out of the pen, but he needs to be able to get a few good starts while our offense is a little off. You have to make pitches close to the plate not f***ing right over it.

Yoda
Last year when Loaiza was ahead of the count, he knew what kind of out he should get and that was a strikeout. Today he had that 1-2 count which was in favor of him. What he used to do is throw those UN hittable pitches which turned out to be strikeouts. Now you don’t see that. That’s why the strikeouts are low and the hits allowed are high.

There are two rules for a pitcher right after your offense scores you runs...#1 - don't let the other team score a run(s) the next half inning...and #2 - DON'T BREAK RULE #1! I hate this s*** from Loaiza.
