IlliniKrush
Let's get one thing straightened out here. Most of the people on this board live in Illinois. Therefore, you have a lot of Illinois fans. Just because someone says "go illini" or "i like illinois" doesn't mean that they think Illinois will win the next 10 ncaa championships. You are putting words in people's mouths. I go to Illinois, of course i'm going to talk about Illinois. Don't like it, too bad. I'm probly one of the more realistic people when it comes to my teams, and i will talk about Illinois in a non biased manner. All this being said, Illinois is a solid team going into this year, and has established itself as one of the teams in the upper tier of college basketball programs over the past few years By the way, wsoxshuf, you saying Kansas is the mecca of college basketball shows your ignorance

ChiSox_Sonix
Lets just all agree that Duke is the mecca of college basketball. I was actually gonna go with UCONN
dasox24
Also on that list of the top 144 teams that southsideguy posted NU was 118, which oddly enough was today. 9th in the Big Ten, I think they can do better than that. While Young was the star, the rest of the team showed what they are capable of during the course of the year. Yeah, I think that Northwestern is gonna be better than people think. There style of play (Princeton offense) wins them games. Even when teams know what they're gonna do, sometimes they still can't stop their offense. I'm pretty worried about Wisconsin this year, as well as Michigan. I don't think that Wisconsin will take as many steps back, with the loss of Harris, as some people think. Michigan is young, and could really suprise a lot of people this year. Here's my prediction for who the top 4 teams will be at the end of the year in the Big Ten: 1. Illinois 2. Wisconsin 3. Michigan 4. Indiana Btw, I am an Illinois fan. And the Cats will finally have big men (Doyle from St. John's and Mike Thompson from Duke). I don't know when Doyle transfered, but didn't Thompson transfer to NU this year? If so, then he'll have to sit out.

A team that returns EVERYONE should not be mentioned, I agree. Here is my predictions (made the way most you guys do it): 1. Michigan State 2. Penn State 3. Central Who Gives A f*** University 4. Ohio State.

Doyle is eligible at the beginning of the season while Thompson will have to sit out the fall semester. He will be eligible for play come Big Ten play, but he will miss non-conference stuff such as the Big Ten-ACC Challenge. I know the transfer rules for college basketball. Indiana I think Indiana and Michigan are gonna be fighting for that #4 spot, but I think Michigan will win out in the end.

DBAHO
The Mecca of college hoops has to be the place where they have won more games than anyone else. Lexington, KY. They blew a HUGE oppurtunity in last year's NCAA Tournament though, is the bulk of their team back, I think I recall they had a lot of seniors on that squad. Palehosefan
UNC also passed UK for the most wins all time. Then UK went back in their records and "found" some wins they didn't count before. rolleyeyes.gif

Palehosefan
Yes but UNC didn't get passed on the court. They got passed through revision of record books. With Roy back the records likely aren't going to change much, both Tubby and Roy are gonna have very good teams for a while. I also expect ND to have a nice year, Torin Francis needs to step his play up.
