Also, the potency...the flaw is that they are testing weed from 1988 now after it has degraded in evidence lockers. Also, the whole treatment thing...The reason so many people get treatment is because it is an alternative to jail. If you had a choice of treatment or prison term, any sane person would choose treatment.

Wise Master Buehrle
Yeah, the government is always spewing off that kind of propaganda. I have high doubts (no pun intended) that any of this crap will work.
hammerhead johnson
Too many times I've had to settle for substandard weed....where's this endless supply of "ultra potent" s*** that they're talking about here? Because I could use some, definitely.
fullcollapse
Pot is no longer the gentle weed of the 1960s and may pose a greater threat than cocaine or even heroin because so many more people use it. i don't see how you can compare marijuana to heroin. because so many people use marijuana, it becomes worse? i've known people who have done both... heroin is so much worse. LowerCaseRepublican
While the research so far is inconclusive, Volkow believes that cannabinoids affect the developing brain and that stronger pot, combined with earlier use, could make children and teens anxious, unmotivated or perhaps even psychotic. Inconclusive, believes, could, perhaps...I don't think there was one qualifying factual statement in there at all. And Hammerhead...that reminds me of the Bill Hicks bit where he's like "I see all these 'this egg is your brain' commercials on TV. I've been f***ed up on drugs and never seen a brain look like an egg. Maybe I wasn't getting good s***. I admit it. I feel cheated. Where's the drugs that make eggs look like brains?" But marijuana, like alcohol for the most part, when use of mechanical machinery is taken out of the equation, is generally harmelss and only, over time, makes you dumber. hammerhead johnson
Obviously DUI deaths involving marijuana were left off of this list. If there were any DUI deaths involving weed, they'd be listed. Weed makes you paranoid when you're behind the wheel, and therefore, more cautious.
