Rex Hudler
Charlotte won 7-5.... so-so start by Grilli, but scoreless relief from Sanders and another save by Bajenaru. Birmingham lost 4-3... a HR by Murphy and two scoreless innings of relief by Fields are about all the good stuff there is..... Phillips allowed 4 runs (3 earned) in 6 innings, while giving up 13 hits. He struggled, but battled to keep the team in the game. Winston-Salem wins 7-5.... Lopez and Sweeney (now at .280) with 2 doubles each. Rogowski, who should be moving up to Birmingham soon, with two hits and a walk. Blakely with a 2-run HR. Ken Ray with a nice outing (5 IP 6H 3ER 1BB 8K) and Pollock with his 22nd save. Kannapolis wins 6-5.... Antoin Gray goes 3-4 and a walk with 2 rbi..... No hits for Nanita (down to .397), but two walks.... the Schnur (0-5) hitless for the second straight night.... Haigwood with a real shaky outing (5IP 9H 4ER 3BB 5K) but picks up the win..... Wasserman picks up his 22nd save to go with his 2.03 ERA. He and Pollock might need to move up. No missed extra points, but Great Falls still goes down 14-10.... Josh Hansen with a big day (3-3, 2 BB, HR and 2 RBI). Gary Bakker, Rylan reed and Matt Nachreiner all with a tough day on the mound. Bristol loses 10-6..... Javier Castillo went 2-3 with 3 runs scored, a HR and two RBI. All the pitchers struggled.
danman31
Rogowski, who should be moving up to Birmingham soon While I agree that he has deserved to be called up, is there an opening for him in Birmingham? It seems Sasser is playing 1st base and he has sucked more or less. Would Sasser be moved to the bench in the event of a Rogo promotion? Chisoxfn
All I know is Rogo can't continue to be stuck in Winston Salem, its time for the Sox to see what he can do in AA.

Heard on today's broadcast that Becker was sent down to W-S and Bikowski was activated off the DL. Still have one spot open from Baj's move, but that will likely go to a picther, more likely a bullpen guy. I'm guessing An or Purvis to be used as filler. Wouldn't be shocked to see McNeal come back either. He hasn't hit well in AAA at all.
Chisoxfn
I'm not much of a fan of McNeal after watching him. All he does is go up and try to pull the ball. I sure hope McNeal doesn't somehow take a spot from Rogowski. He really needs to be up in AA.

Pollok has proved he can get it done in High-A ball and Wasserman has proved himself in Low-A ball, so why not move both of them up and see how they do? Of course, moving Pollok up to Bham might keep Rogo from getting called up, so that's a tough decision to make. Hansen has had two big games in a row. Hopefully, he'll continue to hit, and maybe he'll become the 2nd real catching prospect after Lucy. Hankins, at 28 and in his first year as a cathcer, is too old and inexperienced for prospect status as a catcher, imo.
Chisoxfn
Don't count out Hankins. He is a very good hitter and has been very impressive behind the plate, especially considering this is his first year. Since becoming an everyday player with the Knights, he has flat out raked. He could be 28 by the time he makes it to AAA himself. His numbers were very good in college. He was my 2nd pick to have a good season as a rookie along with Brandon Allen which has busted so far. Of course I only said that because he is 23 in rookie ball.
Chisoxfn
All I know is I'm glad Evan is interested in Great Falls, cause he can fill me in what I miss every week cause I just look at what the high picks are doing pretty much. I just don't have much interest when its that low, other then the guys who are touted with high upside. I mean its such a long way up, I start to follow guys from Kanny on usually. He has flat out raked, and I think he's got a legit shot at making the team out of spring training next year, I just don't think he's a "prospect."
