Elcaballo45
I said it in the game thread, the AB he hurt it, I saw him hurt it, 2 pitches later he hit his 2nd HR. His back CANT be that bad. There was no reason NOT TO TAKE him out, just based on the fact of the drubbing we were giving the Tribe. Same for Maggs. Exactly right, we were up already big, he had tweaked it before his 2nd homer, therefore, it had to be precautionary, especially since Mags went out at the same time. Nokona
My inside sources tell me that Magglio and Carlos had been having an intense game of pepper going on in the clubhouse. They wanted to continue it rather then play. [/Ncorgbl]
greg775
He's fine. This isn't like college sports where injuries are hidden. If he's hurt we'd know bout it.

Queen Prawn
What is this game of pepper? (I see signs all over ballparks, but have never known what it is...pardon my ignorance of course lol.)
Guest JimH
What is this game of pepper? (I see signs all over ballparks, but have never known what it is...pardon my ignorance of course lol.) It's basically a game where you've got 5-6 guys in a circle and they either throw, hit, or toss the ball to one another rather quickly ... think Harlem Globtrotters style. It's good for hand-eye coordination but certain teams discourage it because it's sort of horsing around and guys can get hurt.
RibbieRubarb
What is this game of pepper? (I see signs all over ballparks, but have never known what it is...pardon my ignorance of course lol.) A coach gathers a small group of players which are only a few feet from him/her. The coach then hits or bunts the ball to the players in any random order, then the players must use quick reactions to retrieve the ball and accuracy to pitch, this pitch is only a toss, for the coach to hit again

It was hit by one of the Sox coaches. It was their last baseball, so my dad made them a deal where if he gave it back to them, we would get it back when they were done, and out of it I got a picture and an autograph with Ron Kittle. I still have the picture (signed next year in Chicago) and the ball, also autographed.

Bighurt52235
I heard that pepper is dissallowed now by the groundskeepers because it tears up the field where they are constantly slapping the ball into the ground.
