okay, round up:

Antony and the Johnsons - You are the bird now-this album will be hit or miss but i find it really beautiful...one of those albums you are glad are made...

Patrick Wolf - The wind in the wires - the libertine is a sweet song, good record...Deep scott walker esque voice

The Constantines - Tournament of Hearts - soon enough is a fantastic song, but the album as a hole is pretty average...worth just getting that song honestly...

Andrew Bird - The Mysterious Prod. of Eggs, but i'm pretty sure you have that...love that albuerm.

But this is a good thing!

Check out a band that sounds interesting, hit their website, listen to them. Maybe you'll come across your new favorite band that way.

Every band is unknown the first time you hear them, after all.

:cheers

I downloaded some aimee mann yesterday, I'd never really heard of her or listened to her stuff--she's really good. I really like her.

:notworthy :notworthy Aimee Mann :notworthy :notworthy

  Aimee Mann

Bachelor No. 2 is one of my mostest favoritist albums ever. Perfect, clever, catchy songs, shades of Burt Bacharach (in a good way), amazingly mature lyrics that are smart but not pretentious.

If you didn't download the song "Nothing is Good Enough" go find it. Right now.

Amazing to see the musical talent that the hot platinum blond from Til Tuesday all those years ago evolved into.

EDIT: I tried to post this with a couple more notworthy and wub 'motercons but I got an error saying I was using too many. Clearly, an exception should be made for Aimee Mann (Whom I very much wub).

I'm looking for opinions on the greatest Christmas CD's, old and new...

Frank Sinatra's Christmas music is some of my favorite out there. The same can be said of Bing Crosby's and Dean Martin's.

Um, if this is the place to suggest other music, Damian Marley's new cd is pretty outstanding. Very innovative and well done.
