The best retaliation is on the scoreboard and in the standings.

The Indians may be the most talented team in the division, but they play like a bunch of thugs without heart. That's why I don't think they'll win it this year.

We'll see how the game goes. I believe we will see something behind or close. I'd be very surprised if a warning isn't issued early. I'd like to see a Cards stance. Toss one early then kick their ass in the final score.

Only one of those HBPs was on purpose, and even it was done so that Maggs wouldn't get hurt.  Done right, it is a part of the game.  Unless it happens in the first inning, it ain't gonna happen.

If it happens on the first pitch, that'll be the signal that the players are going to throw the game.

I think it was Murph on the score that actually made a good point about this after the cubs/Cards series. He basically said that once the ball was thrown behind the hitter and the ump warned both benches, the hitters knew that they wouldn't be pitched inside and could dig in. His point was wait until late in the game to do it, so the cub hitters would be scared of the retaliation all game long. Why do it right away and give the advantage to the hitters. I agree 100% with this. Don't do it right away and risk getting our starter tossed. Wait, wait and wait some more. We still have 8 games left against them. TCB on the scoreboard first, then send the message. Why give them the free bases?

The only thing I can think of is if hypothetically Garcia and Sabathia were both ejected in the second inning, say, I'd like our chances a lot better in this game. We have a rested, decent bullpen. They have a pretty used bullpen, that is bad.

That said, I'd like to see us put the hurt on CC like we did on Lee last night. I think that'd be more satisfying.

Agreed. The three others really looked like they didn't have the purpose of being intentional. I think we already retalitated alright with what we did last night.
