If Minny wins tonight, and we win tonight, and Boston loses to NY and Oakland loses to Texas... We're the wild card team of the moment! I was just surprised that we were even close to the wild card team, because I was thinking Boston was still a few games ahead of us there. Think about this scenario: NYY Wins AL East CHW Wins AL Central TEX Wins AL West MIN Wins Wild Card we play Tex in the first round and the Twins in the ALCS if they pull off the upset.
