Al Lopez Ghost (old)
I would just like to add.... f***.
cwsox
1. It's a good thing we picked up Everett 2. Let's hope Maggs isn't out for the year. 3. It was Maggs, not the team, who insisted he play RF. He complained about being the DH. 4. Herm Schneider is one of the best trainers in the game. Doctors from the Sox, As and Angels examined Maggs. It's nobody's fault. Just one of those things. 5. It's time for CREDE to start bringing the lumber. Borchard just has to contribute some. Crede has been around for a bit. He needs to do more. points 1-4 are excellent point 5 is good too, and JC will be there for us.
3E8
Naw, we dont need another bat.... What do you like about him? His .209 BA? His 38 RBI's? His 11 HR's? :banghead
SoxAce
But - if we did aquire Delgado - it would tell me that either Thomas or Maggs will be on the shelf for the rest of the season. Bruce Levine reporting that a high-official in the Sox organization has said four-to-six weeks of rest and rehab... f***ity f*** f***. Which is exactly what's going on. Maggs is done for the season boyz and girlz.. And we all know Frank is pretty much done too.
qwerty
I'd like to add also that picking up Delgado would be a terrible move. I agree he is even worse for the money he makes than maggs. Homeruns, k's, or walks.
southsideirish71
TIME TO MAKE A MOVE KENNY Lets get Frank Catalanotto. He can play OF, DH and is cheap.
Rowand44
I think the sox might get into the steve finley sweepstakes now.

Very true, and Ozzie told tried to talk him out of it, even telling him if he played the field and aggreivated the injury he'd catch hell for it. Little solace if we lose him for 4-6 weeks. Crap. (not coutning this year) Not saying we should get him, but it can be a possibility.

SoxAce
I think the sox might get into the steve finley sweepstakes now. IMO, that WILL probably be the BEST pickup. Finley..

CWSGuy406
IMO, that WILL probably be the BEST pickup. Finley.. Yeah - but who in our farm would we give up? Munoz? I really, really can't see them trading Sweeney or Anderson. Good luck, Kenneth... You're in a tough position right now...

I agree with you that a change of scenery did Carl good, but I don't think that was a factor in the success of the other two. Delgado gets paid $20 million a year, and his numbers now are pathetic. I'm not saying we don't need to go out and get another bat, but the organization should be wise in any deals. We've given up a lot of talent already this year. There are guys out there who can help us that won't cost an arm and a leg.
hammerhead johnson
When Maggs first went down, people on the score were speculating that Maggs has a degenerative leg. I remember posting this on here & nobody responded. Degenerative leg...... Is it safe to assume that Maggs will be retiring within the next year or so? What's the word, big bird? You're in a tough position right now... I doubt Arizona will ask for much from a 35+ year old outfielder. Plius, Kenny is willing to win at all cost. I doubt we'll give up Anderson. That's all I can really say.
whitesoxin'
Remember when a lot of us on here were being thankful for the Twins and Cubs injuries (me not included), well it appears the tides have changed. Talk about a change in my mood today. We will see how good we are without our top two hitters next week when the Twins come to town.
Yoda
I'm pretty sure KW will make another trade. He said so himself that he wants to go all the way this year and he knows that without our two best hitters, this team really doesn't look the same. whitesoxin'
I have a feeling something suprising is going to be announced at the press con. Is the conference on ESPN Radio?
