SnB
All the "chicago" fans have turned our way after all the preseason cub hype....I'll take their butts in our seats any day of the week as long as there is room for me in the cell
witesoxfan
So it just takes another trade for Everett, and a few implosions by Zambrano, Hawkins, and co for us to get popular again? Works for me

WilliamTell
Has the attendence been gradually increasing or what? I haven't noticed I guess since I don't get to watch a lot of games.

Gradually, no, more so like sky rocketing compared to what the normal average is.
Al Lopez Ghost (old)
Well, you know, it's good to go to a ballpark where the concrete is falling all around you. I've been waiting since 1988 to say this about Wrigley. (1988 was when old Comiskey started to crumble, or at least they started talking about it.) WilliamTell
Why has it increased that much though? I'm glad it has and all, but it never really did when the Sox were contending in previous years.
qwerty
Why has it increased that much though? I'm glad it has and all, but it never really did when the Sox were contending in previous years. Ozzie has brought in a great attitude, cubs are falling back so we are getting more attention and this year we have a pretty nice record unlike in the past when we were contending. Usually we would be over .500 by just two or three games, that is not the case anymore.
WilliamTell
Yeah that does make sense. I was just surprised by how many people already have bought tickets for the upcoming games also. But I guess it is Minnesota so that'll sell more. But still, great job by selling tickets Sox. Keep it up.

Yoda
We are 10 games above .500 and back in 1st place where we belong! It's about US!
WilliamTell
10 games over is the most all year I believe.

He's really embraced what us Sox fans are all about, from the comercials, to the new entrance. But then again - probably the biggest reason is just plain winning. BridgeportHeather
Are you sure there are already 30 for Tuesday's game? Hawk said 20 tonight during the broadcast.

southsider2k5
Why has it increased that much though? I'm glad it has and all, but it never really did when the Sox were contending in previous years. Vs the sametime last year attendance is up about 4000 per game, and 110,000 more people than last year.

It probably is 20, with a tons of walkups seeing as how it is a Pepsi half price night. I figure to see this game sold out, too.
SoxAce
10 games over is the most all year I believe. Correct. This is the first time all season we are about .500 by 10 games.
The Critic
The most shocking ( and terrific ) number I heard was 29K already sold for Wednesday's afternoon game!!! It's GREAT to not have the stupid attendance argument lately!
greasywheels121
Last night's attendance ended up being 39,055. It was friggen' sweet.
