How about ----- Danny Bautista!

Would this man be the answer? 32 years old. On the Diamondbacks so he should be available. Hitting near or over .300 vs left or right, home or away. 10 homers and OBP of .357. Not a star but a guy who should be cheap and not an ego problem in the clubhouse. Thoughts Comments

i think bautista is a good option.

a vet with playoff experience who's a better bat than what we have right now in rightfield, as well as someone who could probably be had without mortgaging the whole farm system.

Didn't KW say we were in heavy talks with Arizona to bring a player over here thats not named Randy or Steve? My original thought was Bautista, so you might get your wish BamaDoc.

No that's not what he said. Harry said to kenny it looks like the dbacks might have a player that could help your team like Shea Hillenbrand or Steve Finley and Kenny said you forgot a certain pitcher that's been talked about. He was talking about Randy Johnson but in all likely hood he was just joking around.

You sure? I just went back to read the recap of him on the radio and it says he's looking at someone whos very available on Arizona. Except he said not named Finley or Hillenbrand. Whatever, its all just speculation anyways.

You're right. I remember him saying that. It's gotta be Bautista. If he's healty, i'm game.

It could also be Alomar too. KW wanted him to resign with the Sox in the offseason for $2 mill; instead, Robbie thought he could get better, found out he couldn't and signed with Arizona for $1 mill. He wanted to resign with the Sox from what I remember. He's also expressed interest to come back to Chicago too.

That means you got RJ(unlikely), Bautista(unlikely with our depth at OF...Everett, Perez, Rowand, Borchard, and even Gload too, if you count him, and then Maggs if/when he comes back), and Alomar(with Uribe and Harris having slowly fallen to earth in the past month or two, it became apparent of our lack of IF depth).

If you get an OFer, you may as well get a big time OFer like Beltran...IMO anyways.

I'm thinking Alomar is a low-risk, high-reward type of guy that we need to look for down the stretch...other then the big names that we can get.
