Wolverines2K4
Yes, he NEEDS to go
The Beast
Mike Jackson is too old to play in baseball. Excuse me, let me correct myself. The guy is ancient like King Tut. Ick. A 5.01 ERA with 18 ER's. 38 year year old guy who took a year off in the majors, is decent in spring training, makes our team in ST and sucks up on the season for the White Sox. Inexcuseable. Punch his ticket to AAA Charlotte, or punch it to free agency. I really can't stand his performance. Might I remind you of the poor .283 opponents batting average? Ick. This just shows why we need Guardado.
Al Lopez Ghost (old)
He is so done.
Old Socks
I couldn't stand to watch it, but I can figure it out. His ERA doesn't tell the story. I wonder how many runners he has allowed to score that were not charged to him.
SoxFanForever
That pitch sequence was s***, he has nothing left to give to this team. Please let him go.
Al Lopez Ghost (old)
Jackson is our Antonio Alfonseca. Which is not a good thing. Fire his ass.
JDsDirtySox
I have to believe David Sanders or someone in AAA would be better served on this team that Mike Jackson. Mike Jackson... BEAT IT Old Man!
Yoda
We had a good chance of coming back, but this f***ing dick allows like the 500th GRANDSLAM! :banghead
Wolverines2K4
Cotts needs a send down as well.
Mr. Showtime
Sox are 12-18 in games where Jackson appears. 4W-2L in April 3W-5L in May 3W-8L in June 2W-3L in July
Yoda
Cotts needs a send down as well. He sure does because the Sox can’t always rely on Politte, Marte, and Takatsu come playoff time... that is if we even get there.
Guest JimH
Today was the last straw for me. He dicked around and nibbled with some punch-and-judy hitter, next thing we know ... grand slam. He's not locating the ball well at all and hitters are sitting on those big fat sliders he hangs over the plate, especially on 2-2 and 3-2 counts. We cannot afford to have this guy on the team any more. I'm more patient than most, but it's time to cut the cord on Mike Jackson. Bajenaru is a better option. The Beast
Cotts has been been ok, so im not sold on sending Cotts down, but Jackson needed to be relased 4 weeks ago. Exactly. I'd want Cotts and Guardado if anything and I'd love to see Jackson go, refer to my post...
Guest JimH
We can't rely on this guy at all. He's got to go. I wish it would have worked out because it seems like he's a very well respected veteran, but our bullpen needs guys who can get people out. Time to cut the cord. Rowand44
Cotts has been been ok, so im not sold on sending Cotts down, but Jackson needed to be relased 4 weeks ago. Cotts has been awful since his start against the twins.
OSUBUCKS2
lets see how jackson fares in these next two innings. if kenny williams acquires a reliever, it has got to be jackson that gets the axe. its possible he could get it after today in my opinion, however i dont know if they wanna take his experience out of the pen, especially with young guys like cotts and adkins and shingo (i know hes not young)

OSUBUCKS2
itll be interesting to see how adkins performs. hes been up and down as of late in my opinion. i know its mop-up time, but hopefully he'll record some outs

OSUBUCKS2
after todays performance from our pen, it is apparent that our biggest need is a tough reliever
TheBlackSox8
what relievers are available??
OSUBUCKS2
cotts reminds me of jon garland a little. garland is cruising and then has one rough inning. it seems like cotts has recorded two outs and had trouble getting a third numerous times this year
Yoda
Adkins has also jumped into the boat of "suckers". He used to be one of the few in our BP with a 2. something ERA, now it's up to 3.77.
Rowand44
How many Earned runs do you think Cotts has BECAUSE OF JACKSON?? Plus, I have noticed, like Cheat has, that Cotts has been great in not letting inheareted runners score. Cotts just didnt have it today. I'm sure everyone in the bullpen has more earned runs because of Jackson but still Neal has been terrible since his start in the hhh dome. Unfortunately ozzie should have listened to himself and not let neal start that game but he really had no choice.
