southsider2k5
It was an empty trailer. That still doesn't answser if the load was insured
Steff
It was an empty trailer. load = refers to the entire trailer in the shipping business.
kapkomet
Really? Depends on who you're talking to. I worked in the shipping business for a long while. But, I digress... Cause Steff is Miss Know-Everything-It-All.

Cause Steff is Miss Know-Everything-It-All. For insurance purposes we identify the entire trailer as the "load" since it's the "load" that moves from tractor to tractor. Insurance ryders just went up 6/1 by 20% for household good moves because of uninsured loads and now there are huge fines if the "load" isn't insured. 2 Allied agents just went under because of the fines. BridgeportHeather
Major ouchie!!! Hope the driver is ok! I guess that if someone wanted to swim in the water over there, they could just use the truck as a slide.
Texsox
s***, with all the paperwork the driver may miss the Sox-Twins game tonight
Yoda
That’s some scary s*** right there. I don’t know if anyone has driven over the state Line Bridge (Illinois to Missouri) where the Mississippi River is right underneath. I get a little too scared to even look at my right or my left because there’s nothing but water. If I’m not mistaking, that bridge is about a mile long

I wasn't scared at all though. It's kinda cool!

Texsox
To reach South Padre Island I cross the couple mile Queen Isabella Causeway. A portion of the causeway collapsed on 9/15 a couple days after THE 9/11 attacks. It was rebuilt in time for the Christmas rush. I was doing some serious butt exercises the first few times I crossed after that.

Texsox
HOLY s***..... WOW That's all I can really say. Those pictures are just... SHOCKING. It happened at 1:00 am when a barge miscalculated and hit the support. Several cars went over and a couple people died. Many, many people thought it was another terrorism attack on the US. Yoda
It happened at 1:00 am when a barge miscalculated and hit the support. Several cars went over and a couple people died. Many, many people thought it was another terrorism attack on the US. I would have thought the same, it’s just that I never heard about this news or even read about it. And things like these are way too scary. Mostly after midnight. I don’t know about you guys, but when I go to Navy Pier at night and I look at Lake Michigan (you can see the moon’s reflection) I get chills. Must be because it gets kind of cold near big waters.... Whatever it is, I pray incidents like these never happen to me.
