CaliSoxFan
Hey thanks for the play by play. It really helps when you don't have time to listen, and want to know what everyone did today.
clujer420
- Runner caught in rundown gets tagged out. Inning over Was that a pickoff? Not sure...it happened before the pitch, I think, so yeah...but I'm not sure.
Chisoxfn
Once again awesome job Clujer. This recaps rule. I can keep up with the game a bit while I'm at work; I truly love it
whitesox247
Nice comeback to tie it for the Sox. White is really struggling, but aside from that, very nice game. Really nice to see our pitchers get out of some very tough jams these past few games.
DaSoxRox
Nice. Second night in a row getting the play by play....many thanks Clujer..... White will definately be on a tight leash, and we may have to deal with some s***ty innings from him early...but, if he fails, I am confident that we have depth from the righthanded side that would easily fill his shoes... Another strong outing by our starters....I think Stewart might have upped his chances of getting that 5 spot (if Wright needs some more time to mend)....I know how much they'd love to have a second lefty in the rotation and 1 run, 4 inning stints don't hurt.... It's of some concern that they're walking the lead-off guy so much, though. You can't wiggle out for too long. Luckily, it's only ST, so hopefully they'll get it all out of their system by the time March 31 rolls around.

And yeah, it would be cool to do my "broadcasts" in a more formal setting. I wouldn't be able to do it every game (I actually do have a life and a job, believe it or not), so I dunno if it would be worthwhile. It sure is fun to do though. Keeps me more involved in the game and helps me remember what happened a helluva lot better.

Fine with me. The only thing is..aren't most regular season games shown on either WGN (I live in CA, so I know they're pretty much only on once a week :puke), or FoxSports Net? With ST, the games aren't on TV, so it comes in handy...but in the reg season, it may not mean as much. And OK, I lied...I don't have a life. <-- me looking out my window at the world around me
whitesox247
I would love to see someone do this for regular season games also. Im still pretty new around here, so I dont know what you guys do during the reg season games. Someone posting updates is a much better idea than chatrooms because we can read through the updates anytime.

During the regular season it is typically the same way. Someone usually will fill in with updates and stuff. The chatroom is also always open as well, but the best way for updates for everyone is via the board so people can catch up on it that aren't there the whole time. Of course the board is a whole lot bigger this season that it was for parts of last season

WhiteSoxPride3035
- Chavez flies to LF, Carlos makes the grab fighting the sun for the 3rd out. this is an omen that 2003 is CLee's gold glove year! Well..all kidding aside, he did make a very nice diving catch the other day on the WGN vs. the Cubs. He knows what he's doing out there sometimes. Lee is definately improving. The guys been working his butt off and I think we'll see great things out of him this year. Yeah, I am really expecting to see Lee break out this year. He is a good player, no doubt, and he has a lot of potential. I can't wait to see a great year out of El Caballo.
Bighurt52235
The "Booey" pitching for Oakland is Micah Bowie who used to be on the Cubs. Where was Frank today? Yesterday kicked ass with him stroking the ball so well. The "Scoreboard" section of my local paper was headlined, "Thomas poers White Sox to win." That was damned sweet to see this afternoon. clujer420
That's what I've been sayin' -- he's not playing very much at all. Hopefully after they cut a few more players they'll play him everyday.

If I recall this is typicaly Frank. Usually he doesn't play that much early on in spring. He likes spending more time in the cages (I think). Plus he knows that Daubach and company are all contending for jobs so JM is trying to get those guys a lot more ab's. Thomas is also coming back from his tooth thing and its probably still bugging him a bit. He'll really pick up his ab's starting around the 17-20th, just my hunch. Yes, that does make sense (I don't like it though ). And at this point, it's probably more important for Frank to work in the cage than it is facing some scrubby AA or AAA pitcher. He's been in the league 12 years, so I suppose he doesn't need a full ST schedule to get ready for the season.

He has all the power in the world, and he knows how to use it. He needs to start racking up hits like he did in 2000, and batting practice will do just that. I am not expecting another year out of Frank with him batting .343, but I'd like to see him batting his career average of .314 again. You made the same mistake I always make. In 2000, Frank hit 43 HR with 143 RBI, but did not hit .343 -- he hit .328. The 43's are contageous.
