Brice, Rogo and Sweeney contribute on O, Reynoso with nice start, decent pen work from Lumsden, Castro and Pollak. 3-1 win for W-S. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform...px?GAMEID=11840

Barons just get 3 hits today, tired from all the running around bases last night. Waste a nice start for Villacis and decent pen work. 3-0 loss. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform...px?GAMEID=19162

Man, Brice is just on a tear... 3-4 today; avg. almost to .280 :headbang

It was only a matter of time with him to get adjusted to high A ball, if he keeps this up, it'll be interesting to see if he starts next season with the Barons or will he stay with the Warthogs?

Bristol lost game 1 of DH, 8-6. Evan Tartaglia was 2-5, and Jose De Los Santos and Brandon Allen were each 1-3. All 4 pitchers who pitched gave up 2 runs each. Bristol Game 1 Box

Bristol won game 2 of DH, 3-1. Tartaglia was 1-2, as was Javier Castillo. Lucas Harrel had a nice start, giving up 1 run (earned) in 5 IP. Harrel is really a guy to watch out for. He was drafted out of Ozark (Missouri) High School in the 4th round this year. He had a game earlier this year when he pitched 5 perfect innings before being taken out. Bristol Game 2 Box

Great Falls won 8-5, no box yet...

I'm also interested in Sweeney/Anderson too. If Anderson ends up hitting .280-.300+ at Birmingham, will he start at Charlotte next season? Ditto for Sweeney, except at Birmingham?

Considering both are big time prospects they will definitely be playing at the next level next season. Anderson is an easy call. Sweeney's recent hot streak should move him up next season. I think the bigger question is whether Anderson can impress enough in ST to earn himself a spot on the team (this obviously has to do with our OF situation next year). I think it's doubtful, but ya never know if he pulls a Sweeney in ST.

If we look at stats only, Anderson is coming quickly. Someone who sees him play would have to comment on all the nuances of his game, but he's drawing walks and that is very good to see.

He has a good chance to be a #2 hitter very soon. My guess is he's ready for sure by 2006, but yeah, he could surprise in spring training.

Here's three more box scores from yesterday, although, a day late:

Kanny won game 1 of DH, 5-4. Wes Whisler has been contributing all over the place for Kanny, this time on the offensive end, going 2-2 with 2 2B's and 2 RBI. Young was 1-2 with a solo HR. Gray was 1-4 with 2 RBI. Ryan Rodgriguez got the ND, giving up 4 runs (3 ER) in 5.1 IP. Fernando Hernandez got the win in relief, giving up o runs in 1 IP and recording 3 k's. Wasserman got his 26 save of the year. Kanny game 1 Box

Kanny also won game 2 of DH, 1-0. Kanny only managed 2 hits and 3 BB's the whole game. Brian Miller got the win, giving up 0 runs in 6 IP. He also recorded 7 k's. Orionny Lopez got the save, pitching a scoreless 7th inning. Kanny game 2 Box

Great Falls won 8-6. Ryan McCarthy was 2-4 with a double and a walk. Y'all really need to watch out for McCarthy. He's been really hot lately and is very good defensively as a SS, although he can also play 3B. Chris Kelly was 4-5 with 3 HR's and 6 RBI. Matthew Deuchler, who's been on a tear lately (raising his avg. about 45 pts. the last 2 weeks), was 2-3 with a rbi. Donny Lucy was 1-4. John Egbert had a nice start, giving up 1 run in 5 IP. Boone Logan got the win in relief, giving up 1 ER in 3 IP. Great Falls Box
