JoshPR
And borch didn't by grounding into a DP when all he needed was a sac fly to get the winning run home? They all sucked ass today. Agreed! A lot a people just don't see the picture. The team SUCKED ALL SERIES EOS.
Guest JimH
On the first pitch, too. That's the key right there. He swings at the first pitch and f***s it up. He's had a couple of opportunities to do something good and he has not done the job. This loss is not in his locker but he sure failed to execute there. CSF
The only thing that I want to know is after the 7th inning, why did Borchard stay in the game and not Rowand? Unless Ozzie is trying to jump-start Borchard, I want my clutch performers out there. Whether Rowand would've fared better in the 9th is anybody's guess. But for right now, I would've rather seen Rowand stay in instead of Borchard. This loss hurts, but it's the end of July, and not September. Alot can happen in 2 months. The Sox need to regroup and go get Detroit.
Bighurt52235
I love Jose and am a huge supporter of his, but this has got to be the WORST game of his Sox career. I was so hoping he would hit in the 10th because he likely would have hit a HR, the way he goes. Anyways, that baserunning of his in the 7th was absolutely awful. If that doesn't happen, Uribe doesn't have a chance to get thrown out at second (at least his was a real attempt). Lastly, if Jose doesn't drop that ROUTINE popup, Jones never has the CHANCE to get the hit. Of course it was still on Shingo to get him out, but..... s*** happens! thedoctor
Well on the bright side, 3/1/2 games out means the team is still in it. At the same time wite is right, you don't blame any one player for this performance, it falls on the team and their lack of exeuction. Its not something that started today and it probably won't end today, its been an ongoing process and the team is just continually getting worse at it. SOme changes are going to have to be made and they will have to be made now. Maybe its not a personell change thats needed, maybe its a good kick in the nuts to every god damn player in this team to put an empahsis on doing and accomplishing the little things. These guys must not know what it takes to win tough games. They had been doing a decent job at it earlier in the yaer, but with Maggs and Frank, they were more suited to overcome mistakes. Now they aren't. Talent wise the Sox are no better then the Twins, mentally the Twins kick the White Sox Ass 10 FOLD. That doesn't bode well, but the Sox could fix things. Maybe a new top of the order guy is the answer, but Willie is taking pitches and playing decent, imo. I'd like to see him out their day in and day out, unless a truly good leadoff hitter is out there. But that still doesn't solve the 2 hole, which to me is an even bigger concern. Harris in general gets on base, the 2 hole hasn't gotten on base for a long time. the sox have had a hard time doing the little things for the past four or five years. they fired two managers to get them to do the little things, to no avail. a common theme going into every season is that the sox will do the little things better, yet this goal never seems to have any sustained life. it seems to me that the white sox have a fair amount of players with low baseball iq's. they are talented, no doubt, but that talent gets drained by the mental errors that get made on a regular basis. this is what this team is and i really don't think that they're going to learn to be smart ballplayers at this point. i still think the sox can win this division, but it worries me that i am seeing the same mistakes over and over and over again. really, i've been seeing them since about 2001. Bighurt52235
I still blame this on Borchard. A sac fly and GUESS WHAT? Game over... WHITE SOX WINNER. But no. The dick grounds into a mother f***ing DP. A SAC FLY!!!!!! WHAT DOES IT TAKE!? You know what, if everyone could hit a flyball whenever they wanted, the success rate on runners from third scoring with less than two outs would be 100% I really dubt he tried to rip a groundball right at the thirdbaseman. witesoxfan
Just to state the obvious here, FWIW... Jose Valentin did have a s***ty day...and he'd undoubtedly be the first one to tell you that.

GASHWOUND
Well...that was fun.. Obviously we're not done and who ever is saying we're done should donate their brains for experimental science.. BUT, we are not going to win the div with this exact team..KW has gotta get another bat and another arm in that pen.. We got like 1 1/2 go to guys in the late innings before Shingo time and that's Marte and sometimes Polite.. Marte's arm is gonna fall off before the season ends..we gotta relieve some pressure of these guys.. And there's no way we can overcome the lose of our 3 and 4 hitters with playing with more "Heart" That may work some of the time, but not gonna work alot of the time and at the end it's gonna bite you in the ass... We need another bat..
Dick Allen
And that play never comes up with Jose if Borchard was able to fly out. That or we don't run ourselves out of the 7th. Oh, another fine play by Jose. For all those backers of Jose, 0-11 in the 3 game set. Baserunning blunder, and huge error.

Dick Allen
And that play never comes up with Jose if Borchard was able to fly out. That or we don't run ourselves out of the 7th. And Borchard doesn't bat if the resident genius leaves Rowand in the game, a better offensive and defensive player at this point.
Dick Allen
It's not Jose's fault, dumbass, it's the team's fault. 6 baserunners reach in the 7th, and we get 1 goddamn run. Runners on the corners, 1 out in the bottom of the 9th, Borch GIDPs. You win as a team, you lose as a team...there is rarely a game where 1 person is at fault. It is Jose's fault. He finally gets on base, and runs the Sox out of a big inning. Shingo, who has had control problems everytime he has gone more than 1 inning, is out of the jam if Jose catches a ball little leaguers would catch. Nathan would not have been brought in if the game where still tied.
Rowand44
Oh, another fine play by Jose. For all those backers of Jose, 0-11 in the 3 game set. Baserunning blunder, and huge error. You forgot to mention how he has 22 homeruns which is first among al shortstops or the fact that he's come up clutch hits time and time again or the fact he's been absolutely awesome defensively. He f***ed up today no doubt about that but he's still a very good player.

Borchard had a decent pitch to hit and he hit it hard. He didnt chase anything, and he made solid contact. Only problem is it went right to Koskie. Jose was horrible. We had 6 hits/walks in one inning and only scored once? Who else could manage that but us? Borchard didnt get it done, but there are others who had a worse game
