fathom Posted July 30, 2004 Share Posted July 30, 2004 Why are the Sox keeping 3 catchers on the team? Sandy Alomar is having a terrible year, but Ozzie keeps playing him about 2 games a week. I know he brings a lot to the clubhouse. Why not just place him on the DL, and have him act as a coach. He's turned into a ground out to the left side machine. It's not like his catching abilities are so superior that it makes up for his below average hitting.
