ManSooLee
Heres the potential deal. Almost happining. L.A. gets Finley from Arizona, and Brad Penny and Hee Seop Choi from Florida. Florida gets Guillermo Mota, Paul Lo Duca and Juan Encarnacion from L.A. Arizona gets Jayson Werth from the Dodgers, and prospects from the Marlins. dasox24
I like the trade for the Dodgers. However, losing Mota is gonna hurt 'cause he's one badass set-up man.
Texsox
I find any three way trade amazing. I cannot get three friends to pick the same damn restaurant for lunch.
ManSooLee
az got screwed in this. so much for loduca and mota that wouldve solved our catching probs and are reliever problems.
greasywheels121
Excellent trade for LA though; they got enough in return to forget about Mota.
CWSGuy406
Is it just me or does this deal totally screw Florida? I mean, they lose Penny, Hee Seop (who IMO is going to be one hell of a power hitter in a year or two), and more prospects, and all they get back, really is Mota? I mean, La Duca and Encarnacion IIRC are both getting up there in age, and I'd much rather have Penny/Choi then LaDuca/Encarnacion/Mota. EvilJester99
By the look of this deal, LA makes out like a bandit. The other two get screwed with the exception of Marlins getting Mota. Other than this its total robbery for LA.
Xero
They are giving up on Brad Penny already Wasn't he their "Ace"
The Beast
Loduca AND Mota? Wow. That really has got to suck for LA, seems like they could be screwed now. Or do they have another catcher?
dasox24
How is this not a good trade for Arizona? All they do is give up a 39-year-old Finley, who wouldn't help them much this year, and they get some good prospects in return.
dasox24
Or do they have another catcher? They have Koyie Hill in AAA, but I don't know how major league ready he is.
IlliniKrush
This deal really banks on the fact that FLA will have a healthy Beckett the rest of the way
SoxFanForever
Anyone else find it funny that Encarnacion could be going back to the Marlins?
witesoxfan
Anyone else find it funny that Encarnacion could be going back to the Marlins? I noticed that too. Thought it was kind of weird myself as well.
WHarris1
Charles Johnson is going to LA. This pretty much means this 3 way is going down, or Lo Duca is going elsewhere.
LowerCaseRepublican
According to ESPN, the Marlins/Dodgers deal is done. Marlins get: Encarnacion, Mota and LoDuca Dodgers get: Hee Seop Choi, Penny and a AA pitcher
