CWSGuy406
Couple of comments: -Wilson Valdez is raking! IMO, he should be a nice September 40-ManRoster call up. And he should make a fine backup next season. -Poor Arnie Munoz. Tonight wasn't as bad as other days, but he's been getting killed at AAA. I hope he can rebound. -Way to go, B-Mac! dasox24
Kanny lost 9-8. Schnurstein was 2-3 with a solo HR. Young went 2-4 with a triple and a HR. Valido went 1-4 with 2 runs scored. Whisler got roughed up for 6 runs (4 ER) in 5.2 IP. Fernando Hernandez had a rare bad outing, taking the loss giving up 3 runs (2 ER) in 1.2 IP. Wasserman pitched 1.2 scoreless innings of relief. Kanny Box Bristol won 5-2. Jose De Los Santos was 1-3 with 2 rbi. Allen was 0-3 with an error, something he's doing pretty much daily. James Casey got the start and gave up 2 ER in 3 IP. Yunior Novoa got the win in relief, giving up 0 runs in 5 IP. Bristol Box Great Falls lost 9-5. Ricks was 2-2 with a rbi and 2 bb's. Lucy was 1-4 with a run scored and 2 stolen bases. The 3 pitchers each gave up at least 2 runs. Great Falls Box Other thoughts from today: holy f***in s***, BMac! You're the man! 16 k's and 0 BB's; That's just sick ... Bull had a nice start, with nice relief from Fields... I see that Anderson moved to the #5 spot for Bham, I wonder why?... Valdez added 2 more hits, but still 0 walks... It seems like Munoz just isn't the same pitcher as before his call-up. I think his future as a starter is probably shot, and that he should move back to the 'pen, where he's had much success before... Nice games by both Schnur and Young... Novoa had a great night in relief for Bristol. He's only 19, and good become a very good prospect for us. He started the season as a starter, but has since moved to the 'pen... Fields has another good game, and didn't strikeout. Great to see... My boy Dwayne Pollok picked up his Carolina League-leading 26th save of the year with a scoreless 9th inning...
