Rowand44
I think you are gonna be wrong about rowand he is a career .284 hitter while uribe is just a career .259 hitter. Rowand has proven much more so that he can produce than uribe imo. I don't think a replacement will be neede but we will see as time goes on. I'm not sold on Rowand being this good because I just don't think he is. However he's a great guy to have on the team, he is the grinder type kenny talks about, also aaron is probably our best base stealer at the time because he actually knows what the hell he is doing out there unlike willie. There will be much bigger holes to fill then centerfield.

This is most likely his break out season, if he can consistently hit in the .290-.310 range that will be excellent.
dasox24
Personally, I think we're fine at 3B. I still like Crede. What we should be going after is another good, reliable reliever and a catcher. Getting another starter would be badass, but I don't think we'll have the money to spend on a top notch starter, so picking up one through a trade is more likely. I'd love picking up Milton, actually, as a free agent, but how much money do y'all think he'll ask for? 7-9 million per year?

Rowand might not be a leadoff guy but how he's playing right now he definitely looks to be a great two hitter. He can get on base, he can run, he can steal, and he can hit a fastball which hitting in front of the teams 3 hitter(whoever that may be) is a huge plus. I mentioned beltre because the guy is an absolute stud but it's not worth going after him for that kind of money when crede can do an adequate job and I definitely wouldn't want to sign Glaus for big money. Kenny's main priorities in the offseason should be imo, a true leadoff guy to play either short or 2nd and maybe get two guys that could hit at the top of the order to play the middle infield, a descent catcher, and relief pitching. The middle of the order will be fine again next year and the starting pitching has a chance to be damn good, if not addressed the bullpen and tops and bottoms of the order would also be a problem. The players with * next to their names should be the players the Sox should look at. The rest are players the Sox could think about getting if they were to trade for example Konerko or Lee or Crede. I personally think they should definitely get a catcher(good game calling, defense, and offense), a middle infielder(proven leadoff guy with excellent speed), a starting pitcher(a number three guy at least), and one or two relief pitchers(someone with velocity THAT DOESN'T WALK IN WINNING RUNS OR GIVE UP GAME WINNING HITS). Pokey Resse?? Damian Miller?? Tony Womack?? Thomas Perez??? Rod Beck??? stearling hitchcock?? :puke

I agree with getting a leadoff hitter that can play a middle infield position. Can Christian Guzman leadoff 'cause if so, he'd be a good pickup at SS. Also, I said I'd like getting a SP but on 2nd thought, I'm perfectly happy with Buehrle, Garcia, Contreras, Garland, and Diaz, as long as we can fix Contreras' tipping pitches problem. Guzman's obp this year is .314 :puke so I would say no he can't leadoff. I'm not really sure who else is out there to be a leadoff and that also has a good glove, guzman fits the good glove but not the leadoff man type. Like I said if Contreras fixes his flaw then keep the rotation as is and that rotation is going to be more then solid, somehow find the shortstop we're all looking for, a cheap catcher, fill in the pen and the team should be good to go. LDF
If he keeps putting up these numbers do you think he should just come off the bench? That is a big IF and even then i am not too sure. a lee, rowand, everett, does not do it for me.
