Rowand44
I want to answer this. Just because we aren't running around talking about stuff out loud doesn't mean we aren't looking into this. Yes it was obvious that the posting styles were incredibly similar. But that alone isn't reason enough to take action against a poster. Until we had real proof that reesdi and Brando were the same person, we couldn't take action, just in case they were really different people. Well after a little work and research, I found the proof and the situation has been rectified. As for the comparision between posters suspensions... The 5 months suspension Beastly recieved wasn't his first disipline he recieved. I wasn't an admin during this time, so someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it was his 3rd suspension. IIRC He also created a fake name to post under which is what really got him in trouble. Brando is going to receive his just deserts for doing the samething. And finally if you don't believe we are doing something when there is a problem, send one of us a PM or email. Sometimes we don't see everything, or we might not see it quick enough. Even if you don't like or feel comfortable with someone, send it to another one of us. Something will get done about it, even if it just to send you back a reply to explain what is going on. If you have anymore you want to talk about or ask, feel free. So that was indeed Brando? Nice detective work Jordan. Nice job figuring that out mods. Cowbell, don't worry about being banned the things people get banned for here are pretty obvious why they happen, just don't do anything stupid and you want go anywhere. Rowand44
Can someone explain to me why everyone is saying that the Dodgers are the big losers in all of this? I realize they lost the best set-up man in baseball, and a great clubhouse leader, but they also gained another clubhouse leader plus a great bat (Finley), the perfect 'Moneyball' guy in Hee Seop Choi (high OBP, high OPS), and they gained not a number 5 starter, more like a number 2 in Penny. Penny has just dominated this year, IIRC, doesn't he have something like a 3.15 ERA? That's awesome, and he's going to a pitchers park at LA. Someone want to argue this? I'm not going to argue that with you, ok well I will a little. I'm with you on agreeing that the Dodgers didn't do as bad as people think, Brad Penny is a stud, Finley is very solid, I do however thing Hee seop is overrated. Losing Mota is going to hurt their bullpen immensely(DUH) Gagne had to go 3 innings last night, like you said Lo duca is a clubhouse leader and Encarnacion is a solid player but that doesn't matter because they have their outfield set anyways, they now have no catcher as qwerty said and David Ross is going to be their starter. Imo, they were losers this year but they didn't do awful.
SoxAce
He can't respond b/c he's been banned again. Look at what's written after "group" under his screen name. He was banned today. His statement was said yesterday. See, look at the date on top of the quoted post..
CWSGuy406
I think people think that because they never got a catcher back to replace lo duca. Brent Mayne is a replacement.
qwerty
Brent Mayne is a replacement. Ya true but for some reason people are fasinated with charles johnson and they think he would have put them over the top.
SoxAce
Gagne had to go 3 innings last night It wasnt because he had to go 3 innings, he wanted to go 3 innings. Gagne was quoted as saying he wanted to pitch more innings. Man he's a beast. Did you see his numbers after his consecutive saves record ended..?! Mercy! Man he's a beast. Did you see his numbers after his consecutive saves record ended..?! Mercy! Here's something disturbing --- Here's a line from two pitchers... Pitcher IP ERA SO BB OAVG *A* 84.0 1.50 112 18 .120 *B* 82.1 1.20 137 20 .133 As you've probably guessed, one is Gagne -- Pitcher B --. The other is a pitcher in our division, on our hated division rivals.... Johan Santana -- Those are his numbers from his last 11 starts. He has been every bit as dominant as Eric Gagne was over his stretch.... The numbers are incredible.

Flash Tizzle
Someone want to argue this? Sure. Dodgers were playing some of the best baseball in the major leagues during July. With a several game lead seperating themselves from the Padres, all Los Angeles desired was another starter (preferable with playoff experience) and a CF. While both needs were fulfilled, Depodesta traded clubhouse favorite Paul LeDouca and setup man Guillermo Mota (both essential to success of the team) for Hee Sop, Brad Penny, and Steve Finley. I simply don't understand why Moneyball Jr. would break up a core team in 1st place. Mota is essentially the piece of the trade which baffles me the most. Before this trade, with a lead following the 7th inning, the Dodgers were a virtual lock to win. (36-0) First day after Mota is traded bullpen loses the game. Yesterday, Eric Gagne throws three innings for the first time since 2001. Either Gagne will begin to consistently pitch more than one inning, or the bullpen will have to step up to compensate for Motas absense. Both are troubling signs. Dodgers failing to acquire Randy Johnson and Charles Johnson surely compounds the misfortune of this trade.

hammerhead johnson
Man, what did they all get suspend for? I don't wanna lose my priviledges... You better watch your back, son. You're lucky that I'm not a MOD, because I'd have suspended you a long time ago.
Flash Tizzle
Like me your the master of the obvious . Santana is just ridiculous. If not for his poor start to this season, Santana would likely become a frunt runner for Cy Young. s***, if he continues on his current pace he may surpass Mark Mulder for the honor. If there's one flaw in Santanas game its his penchant for serving up home runs. Don't know how many box scores I've read where Santana has given up 2 hits; both home runs. I have also noticed that but when you go 8 innings allowings only 2 hits and they are both solo home runs you can't feel bad about how you pitched. Even though I can't stand him. I wasn't trying to get him in trouble. I just get annoyed when I see Cubs jockin on a White Sox site.

Steff
Someone should suspend steff for distracting the players, causing this team to go into a slump

If there's one flaw in Santanas game its his penchant for serving up home runs. Don't know how many box scores I've read where Santana has given up 2 hits; both home runs. This is true. I don't know why it is that he does it...I would guess too many mistake pitches...but when you have the stuff he does, you can get away with some mistakes like that. I thought the more interesting stat was that, if I heard it correctly, Santana has 11 straight starts allowing 4 hits or fewer. That's insane. If he were on the Yankees, and he pitched this well, he'd probably already have 15 or 16 wins. In Minnesota, he has gotten s*** for run support...he lost a game to us and his only mistakes were walking Thomas and giving up a homer to Lee...Garland gave up 1 run over 7 innings and Marte shut them down for 2 more. And just on Sunday against the Red Sox, he gave up 3 runs over 8 innings(BTW, I think that was the most runs he'd given up in his last 11 starts...in the 10 before that, he'd given up 2 at the most, and usually 1 or none), and was trailing when he was taken out...lucky for them, Mike Timlin sucks complete ass, Kapler had a poor throw home, and Cabrera booted it, and they got 2 runs. And those were just 2 off the top of my head. The fact that he only has 10 wins is sad. With the way he has pitched over the last 2 months, he should have atleast 15 wins by now. The fact that Minnesota has this guy for 3 more years is a scary thought. He is like Pedro Martinez from the left side, but is actually durable.
