DBAHO
That would be great, but would they really let him go? beck72 put in another thread how Castillo was hitting much better for them leading off than what he is now. If they lose Benitez or Mota, they'd want bullpen help, so we could giv them Marte and a prospect maybe.

There is no way he goes that cheaply.

Yeah it would hav to be a Brian Anderson like prospect, but even then that probably still wouldn't be enough. But I think we should everything we can to get Pierre or even Carl Crawford Southside. Willie Harris should be the #9 hitter in this lineup. If Mike Lowell goes this off-season, they could want Joe Crede perhaps if they leave Miguel Cabrera in RF. Pastime
The best CF in the AL is Torii Hunter, like it or not. His offense is streaky, but he still hits .275-20-75 every year, and robs people of hits and HR's. And his intangibles as a team leader are often overlooked. Just look at what he did to us - his "cheap shot" busted the balls and shot down the cockiness of the Sox to the point that we just folded the tent and decided to lay down and play dead. The team is what - 9-29 since he took out Burke? Enough said.
DBAHO
You could really make a case for a lot of center fielders in the AL right now. Mark Kotsay of the A's, Vernon Wells of the Blue Jays, Garret Anderson of the Angels could come to mind. And in a few years Rocco Baldelli of the D-Rays and probably even Jeremy Reed could be right up there.
