Munoz, 22, is 2-6 with a 5.68 ERA (44 ER/69.2 IP) and 60 strikeouts in 13 starts with the Knights. The 5-foot-9, 170-pounder allowed 81 hits for a .289 opponents average and issued 29 walks. Munoz compiled a 2.45 ERA (7 ER/ 25.1 IP) in his first four starts in August before giving up seven runs over 5.0 IP in his last outing on August 28 vs. Richmond. Munoz began the season at Class AA Birmingham, going 7-2 with a 2.05 ERA (17 ER/74.2 IP) and 68 strikeouts in 13 starts to earn a promotion to the White Sox. He made his major-league debut on June 19 at Montreal, allowing 11 runs on 10 hits over 3.0 IP in a losing effort, and was optioned to Charlotte following that start.
