qwerty
Gave up ten hits and walked three in six innings which is not to good. But at least he did not give up 7 runs in an inning or something.
WilliamTell
I hope he's with the Sox team next year.

winninguglyin83
no command. no future. we need better than this at 5th starter if we expect to contend.
southsider2k5
Take it to chat. And don't argue with me, or else. And yes, Jason Grilli has earned another start for sure. That is the best we have had out of the 5th starter monster since Rauch won that game.
Gene Honda Civic
no command. no future. we need better than this at 5th starter if we expect to contend. Agreed -- He may give us a few more wins in the 5th spot this season, but at this point I'd rather see Diaz go every 5th, because @ 23 he still has a lot to learn as a pitcher, and a better chance to be a contributer to this team next season. SoxAce
Grilli's future is in the bullpen anywayz (If he ever finds command) But he's more of a AAA pitcher in his career. IMO, Diaz's future is in the bullpen too.
Rambam
Actually, without Borchard's diving catch and a missile line-out to Paulie, Grilli would have been tagged for at least 7 runs. Pitch quality wise he was no batter than Diaz. No way do I want him around next year.

YASNY
He kept us in the game. That's acceptable. Barely. He can help us get through the rest of the season, but I don't want to depend on Grilli as 5th starter next year and the Sox end up going through this nightmare for third consecutive season.
