What a great QB class that turned out to be :rolly Out of the 5 QB's taken among the first 12 picks 3 are currently unemployed by no choice of their own (McNown, Smith, and now Couch). Culpepper and McNabb are both really good but that class was supposed to rival the 83 class in turns of star power at the QB position.

Aaron Brooks was a low 4th round pick by Green Bay in that draft (131st overall), and he's better than McNown, Smith, and Couch combined.

Think about that for a minute.....

Just another great QB score by Green Bay. Let's see now, over the past 10 years or so, they've had Mark Brunell, Kurt Warner, Matt Hasselback, Aaron Brooks, etc backing up Brett Favre.

That will tell you all you need to know about the Packers organization in comparison to the Bears organization. We dunno what the f*** we're doing.

Plus they stole Favre in the first place, from the Falcons who preferred Chris Miller.

Out of curiousity, how much of that is the Packers, and how much of that is learning from the best in the game in Farve? Buehrle had problems until David Wells showed him the way, could it be the same kind of thing?

You know, it could be. But I'd have to look at Mike Holmgren first and foremost. And I remember an interview where Holmgren stated that Walsh taught him pretty much everything that he knows, so...

Walsh 49ers: Montana, Young, Bono, etc.

Holmgren Packers: Favre, Brunell, Warner, Brooks, Hasselback

Those guys just know their s*** when it comes to quarterbacks.

And being around Favre certainly helps, although I'm not sure how much it did for guys like Ty Detmer, Doug Pederson, Henry Burris, etc.
