NUKE_CLEVELAND
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1875760 f*** these assholes. They want a forfeit from a team that was in the process of having their homes ravaged by a hurricane. The b****es can't win for s*** on the field lately so they are looking for a freebie. :fyou NY
WHarris1
Yeah that is f***ing crap. They want Tampa to give them the win because they wanted to stay home with their families while a f***ing hurricane blows through their homes. :fyou Yankees! redandwhite
I have been discussing it all afternoon on my Red Sox board and it is definitly an embarrassing day to be a Yankee fan. It doesn't surprise me at the very least though...
Wise Master Buehrle
LMAO. The Yankees can feel the Red Sox snipping at their heels and are trying to get wins in any way possible.
soxfan420
thats pretty bad i had to call my older bro who is a yankee fan and tell him that he was just as pissed off as i was.

southsider2k5
Wow, what a lack of class. Maybe instead of whining they could have offered to help some of the players batten down their houses, or helped some of the people in need? Nope. :headshake
Steff
A little karma... George and Jeter's houses (both in Tampa a block from eachother) both sustained damage from trees that were uprooted, and flooding in George's backyard due to a water main break and small sinkhole. AngelasDaddy0427
That is just sleezy. The Yankees think they are entitled to everything. It's not like they are in any danger of missing the playoffs. Even if they manages to lose the divison race they are still like 10 games up in the wildcard. What sleezy assholes :fyou
The Critic
Typical Spankee arrogance. If there was a weather emergency in New York, they'd ask for every MLB game to be called off and rescheduled. ...because as we all know, New York is the center of the universe and anything that happens there is more important than anywhere else... As always, :fyou the Spankees!
Yoda
Selig announced that the game will not be forieted, and will be made up at a later date... You can all unclench your panties now Still... the Yankees are pure s***.
1549
I am in no way defending what the yankees are doing...but the Devil Rays shouldn't have put themselves in this position. They were given the choice to leave before it hit, and they said they would rather leave later...and that was a stupid decision. However the Yankees should show more compassion. Steff
The games should have been postponed to start with. IMO, of course.

I don't think staying behind to tend to your family/residence is a stupid decision. I DO think begging for a free victory smells desperate.
