CWSGuy406
Thought it would be of interest - mods - I didn't know where to put this, didn't see it anywhere else, so I figured I'd put it here. DBAHO
He is ofer so far today. Yeah I saw his first AB down here, fly out to center. Any1 see Ichiro's bunt with 2 out with a runner on 2nd, what the hell was Melvin thinkin? Ozzieball or sumthin?
Spiff
I saw his first AB of the game. The dude is taller than I thought, but he just looks like a hitter, ya know? In everything he does, you say to yourself, that kid knows what he's doing. It seems like he's got a gameplan. Reminded me a lot of John Olerud. WilliamTell
This trade is still really hurting me, don't get me wrong, I'm glad Garcia is here, but I really liked Olivo and loved the potential with Reed.

southsideirish
Kinda feels crummy that we still have Borchard and all ya know.. Why? Seattle would have took Borchard instead of Reed? I have never heard that report

SoxFanForever
It was either Olivo and Reed or Olivo and Reed - well, at least from what I've heard... No, Borchard was never an option. They more desired Crede but Kenny wouldn't have that.
Chisoxfn
If I recall, it was Olivo and Crede and when they were willing to take Reed instead of Crede, Kenny jumped all over it. He was going to deal Crede and Olivo, but if that were to happen he was going to make it contingent on Freddy signing an extension. In hindsight, I'd of been much happier dealing Crede, but how the hell were we supposed to know he was so damn stubborn and what not. Gene Honda Civic
Boras is Crede's agent, not Garcia's. I'm 95% sure that Boras is NOT crede's agent either. I'll doa search to try and confirm it.

I was searching for a full list of Boras clients, and came accross this. Unlrelated, but hilarious. http://www.thebrushback.com/Archives/boras_full.htm
Chisoxfn
Ya, that was funny stuff. Mario told me about that story when I was in chitown. It was a very funny read.
farmteam
Well, the only thing is that if we traded Crede, we'd be pretty limited in our infield options. At least we have plenty of OF talent in the minors. I'm not saying Reed wasn't very good, he was. It's just we have more of it, so to speak. And, besides Fields, nothing at 3B.
