fathom
Damn I didn't know Manny Alexander is still playing.. Sammy Sosa has never been the same since Manny left the Cubs. For those that don't know, it's widely believed that Alexander "introduced" Sosa to the roids. Alexander was eventually busted for steroids a few years after. elrockinMT
Brian Jordan with a 2 run BOMB to cut the lead to 5-3 Sox. Southsider this is exactly the point I made in a post on the board. Our guys seem to give up a lot of homers. All 3 runs off Mark have courtesy of the long ball.
SoxAce
Our guys seem to give up a lot of homers. All 3 runs off Mark have courtesy of the long ball. Not all three are earned though. But I know what your saying.

All 3 runs off Mark have courtesy of the long ball. They do for some reason. But they usually seem to be low run HRs. I wonder why that is? I wonder if it is playing in the small park, or a function of the pitching they are taught?

I wonder if it is playing in the small park, or a function of the pitching they are taught? I don't know either. The thing I see is the fact our pitchers seem to have a lot of movement on their pitches, or so I believe. Is it the fact they have a tendency to bring the ball over the plate with that movement? Or as you said are they taught to just get it across?

I think we made a good trade you just have to hope we didn't give up too much talent. It will be interesting to see how Reed does.
