The Bones
Miami wins, beats the spread and gets me a win! I can now return to cheering against Miami and Florida State equally for the rest of this year.
Palehosefan
Chris Rix and Miami beat FSU. Atleast next year FSU will have a much better chance, since Rix will be gone.

BobDylan
Chris Rix plays football like a b****. You can't get away with the mistakes he pulls in Madden Football. :fyou Chris Rix!

BobDylan
Hey at least Florida State found a new way to lose besides missing field goals Not quite. Rix always hands the game over to the opposition on a platter when it matters most. Missed field goals? Not quite. Rix's stupidity.
Confederate_48
Rix does do some stupid stuff. Last play of regulation when he was getting sacked he just threw the ball away and was lucky noone was around. Why risk that when you can just take the sack and head for OT. Being a Florida St. fan means s*** in a case like yours. You are a fan because, well, I don't know. You sure as hell didn't grow up there and don't go there. I stuck with a f***ing team. I'm not a fair weather fan who can't handle when his team loses 1 f***ing game. I'm not saying you are a fair weather fan, Spiff, but the point is that I have no respect for people who are fans of mega powers. It's gutless in a lot of cases. I didn't grow up in Chicago either but I like the White Sox. So-the-f***-what. It behooves you not to take this any further and test my mettle. Living in a team's area makes you a good fan? Then why is everyone always ripping on Cubs fans. If they live in Chicago, they must be great fans, right? Part of being a fan of a good, really good, team, especially in college football, is living and dying on every play and every game. I can deal with this loss, believe me. I still bleed garnet and gold, my sig aint goin anywhere. I almost got in a fist fight tonight with some total stranger who ripped on FSU. You tell me what's more gutless; putting yourself out there on every minute of the game to be crushed, or resigning yourself to another 6-5 season and laughing off a loss like nothing. IlliniKrush
Anyone can be a fan of a 0-2 loss team every year. You entirely missed his point. He never doubted your loyalty, just questioned why it's there.
Spiff
Anyone can be a fan of a 0-2 loss team every year. You entirely missed his point. He never doubted your loyalty, just questioned why it's there. No I don't think anyone can. It's a whole different level of expectations. 10 wins means nothing compared to that 1 loss. Not everyone could deal with that. You want to know why it's there? I'll tell you. 1995 Orange Bowl against Notre Dame, CBS in the pregame runs a story about Warrick Dunn, the 5'9" running back for one of the top programs in the country. It turns out that Dunn's mother was a police officer in Louisiana and was killed while on duty while Warrick was in high school. Dunn raised his brothers his and sisters like a father, the father that he never knew. He earned a scholarship to FSU, but still made the drive back to Louisiana often to check on his five siblings. Right then I knew that was a person I wanted to root for. And I have continued to. From being drafted by the Bucs and now on the Falcons, he remains my favorite football player of all-time. He drew me to the Noles, and I got behind them after all the memories he provided (ie: the 1996 game in the swamp). If you want to question my roots further, go ahead and hate. I don't have to prove s*** to anyone.

I remember a story ran about him in which he bought single moms with not a lot of financial stability fully furnished homes, and handed the keys over, changing their lives forever. I was sad to see him leave the Bucs.
