Buehrle>Wood
Thanks for taking him. He'll be another nice distraction who bolts straight for the NBA.

Buehrle>Wood
Jealous of what? A player who we all know already can be easily wooed into a offer? Believe me, when that big money talk comes around, he's not gonna be able to turn that down.

Palehosefan
The Good News... Julian Wright is actually considered by many as the best player in the class. The Bad News... he is also considered one of the most likely to bolt to the NBA. But Self is recruiting on an elite level.
danman31
Wow, Wright had a bad junior year, but was on a great team. He would be foolish to go to the NBA considering he wasn't the focus of his team last year. This year he should dominate. Either way, a great signing. Palehosefan
Yeah but Wright had a great AAU season and thats all that matters these days pretty much. Not to mention this 05 class is the weakest class in probably 10 years. The other most likely is Kareem and JaRon Rush's younger brother, Brandon Rush. Him and Jon Scheyer (who goes to my high school ), nough said.
WSoxShuf
Wow Downs,Chalmers and Wright. BTW, I find it awesome that you guys are so resourceful at AAU and high school basketball. This is one of the reasons I love this site, knowledgable fans in every aspect of sports.
Palehosefan
lol thanks, I have a knack for remembering just about everything I read. So it usually helps me with recruiting type stuff. I don't follow it as closely as I used to, due to girlfriend, school, and work and the fact the damn NBA takes away players after I follow them for years hoping they will commit to UNC, then watch their high school stats and cheer for them during their seasons, then right before they become Tar Heels, BAM the NBA takes them away. But no, I'm not bitter, not at all, no not me.
IlliniKrush
Without a f***ing visit, out of nowhere. And apparently Self recruited him on U of I's tab. Must have done some good bashing of U of I. f***ing prick. I still think he bolts NBA style
danman31
Without a f***ing visit, out of nowhere. Yeah, I just read in the paper he was visiting a couple schools, Kansas not one of them.
CWSGuy406
Julian Wright - as in the Julian Wright from HF? f*** - we played them last year in Regionals (Coach almost let me dress on varsity), and he was awesome... Unless I'm thinking of someone else...?

WSoxShuf
I love Julian Wright already, the sad thing is if he leaves we still have #1 SF in Micah Downs

CWSGuy406
Correct. Man i'd pay money to see a Wright/Keith matchup One of my friends was joking around about that: Headlining the Daily Southtown, as HF meets Oak Forest in the Regionals: "The Ultimate Matchup - Cygan vs. Wright"

Buehrle>Wood
Oh god, not this discussion again. Bruce has not even been able to prove himself and Illini fans are already calling him out. Its really quite sad. He missed out on 2 recruits, big frickin deal. We don't even know if we really know if we lost out on SL. He could of just chosen Duke to either 1) raise his stock for the NBA 2)thought he was doing us a favor by not choosing us 3) didn't want to risk his playing time. But that is besides the point. The fact is all coaches miss out on big-time recruits, which would include Coach K, Roy Williams, and yes, even Bill Self. I feel big-time players don't want to come here while other stars are here, only when they will be assured to run the show, but I mean that with whomever is running the side-lines. We had a top-100 prospect visit last weekend, he seemed happy. I hope he commits, but if he doesnt we'll move on.
