Carl Pavano

My guess is the Sox pick up another never was like they did with Loaiza two years ago and hope for the best.

I would guess you're wrong.

I think they'll pick up a veteran guy, but they won't sign a bonafide stud or anything near that. I think the very best pitcher you could see us sign is Odalis Perez, and I would guess they'd sign someone like Radke or Ortiz.

They aren't going to bring in a never has been, never will be type(like Loaiza), because those guys will only turn to gold once in a blue moon.

I hope his next home is here in Chicago, with the White Sox of course.

Only for the right price, next season if he pitches in a hitters park will be a big test for him. There's plenty of top starters on the market this off-season, we shouldn't have to overpay for one, and then we can fix other holes in this lineup.

I dunno if Carl Pavano is playing at his new home, but I hope Nick Johnson or Brad Wilkerson is... I would love to have either one of these guys playing 1st for us if we decide to deal paulie. Both are LH, and have nice OBP.....

Just a thought.

Wilkerson is gonna break out crazy in the next year or two would be nice to get him this off-season. :)

I wouldn't be surprised to be a Perez come over at all and I hope you mean Perez, OR Radke, OR Ortiz. No way the Sox sign 2/3 of those guys.

But with pitching coach Don Cooper the Sox believe they can take dirt and turn it into gold. So, I wouldn't be surprised if they brought in some guy with good "stuff" and hoped Coop could work a miracle with him.

You are correct in assuming I meant Perez or Radke or Ortiz. Best case scenario, we do get 2/3, but we won't.

Also...I do think another tools pitcher will be brought in...not sure who, but someone probably will be. Try to catch lightning in a bottle, like with Esteban.

Let's just hope that pitcher isn't Shawn Estes, right? :cheers
