I do my best. :D

job of it too.

Rowand44, I see you have one of those adwares that highlight certain texts and link them to something. You should run Adaware or something to get rid of that.

Put me o the side of ChiSoxFan and Molto. Gload can play, we don't know which PK will show up next year, and we HAVE to find out his trade value. Right now, no one knows.

I agree. I love Paulie just as much as the next guy, but it's time to let this grinder play.

If somehow the Sox are serious about this (doubt it), then they better have a good righthanded hitter on the bench, a guy who is proven and can play 1B.

I wouldn't mind seeing Eric Karros come off the bench as a backup 1st baseman. He did a very solid job for the cubies a couple years ago and is doing a solid job with the A's right now. I'd take him.

I wanna know who would get you more in a trade, Carlos Lee or Paul Konerko. Because we could always move Rowand to LF and Gload to RF possibly, if we trade Lee.

I never want to see Ross Gload in the outfield again. (even though he's better than Everett out there IMHO)

He got released from the A's, did he not?

Thought I'd read that, about a month or 6 weeks ago ... ?

Edit: He's not on their roster, and stats show he was hitting .194. Almost positive I read he was released a while back.

gload and those projected numbers of him hitting 300 and getting hr is crazy.

no-one and i mean no-one can forecast that.

look at pk, he would have more rbi's if the player ahead of him would've been on base.

either way, i am for trading anyone who can help this team.

however, look at a trade at mid-season with kw trying to get a hitting 1b and we are going to loose bmac and/or sweeney.

How is it crazy? No one can't forcast it either. It's more of a " I can see him doing this", and I can see Gload hitting .300 for a full season. But, realistically, he'd probably hit around .280.

You say that like Gload has proven himself as a solid everyday player. Which PK will show up? Regardless of which one shows up, it'll equal or better what Gload will do at the plate numbers wise.

i keep reading the he never got a chance to prove himself, gload. well if he would have outplayed the player at that position, then he is entitle to play that position.

Well regardless of whether or not he outplayed Maggs, Caballo, Thomas, or Konerko in ST, he would not start, due to those guys making between $14, $6, $6, and $8 mill each respectively.

If there was actually a competition, that would be entirely different.

and when mags and thomas went out on injury, kw felt sooo secure in him that he trade for everett.

so you think because he couldn't outperform Mark Grace and Todd Helton, he hasn't earned a chance?

Maybe he isn't, but give him September playing all day and lets see. Its not quite a full season, but if he holds strong for the entire month, I'd say its a risk worth taking.

You have Konerko at a very high value, plus like I mentioned in my scenario, Everett will probably be here and while I'm not a fan of him starting, him off the bench and potentially first base if Gload flops is a good choice.

What I see from Gload is a good, smart hitter, and that alone should make him sucessful in the back of the lineup. Gload has hit everywhere he's gone in the minors and now he's finally getting a legit shot at the major league level.

Add JD Drew and replace Timo and everyone else in RF with Gload at 1B and Furcal at SS, Cruz on the pen and all of a sudden I think the team got a heck of a lot better. Of course this could be considered far fetched, but if they move Konerko, they aren't going to not add another bat, they are just going to do it at another position and hopefully a left handed bat.

Thomas and Drew, two .400 OBP guys and thats as close to a guarantee as it gets if the two of them are healthy.
