Chisoxfn
By the way Alex, that had to of been a hell of a ISU game. The score kept going back and forth, but they were able to pull it off in the end.
Rowand44
Well my closers will likely be out there, unless I nkow as a fact Krod will be closing next year. However, Graves will probably be there. Imo, closers appear every year, kind of like Kolb and Cordero this year. I agree, however Radke worries me a bit for next year and with Pavano and Santana already, I think Cordero is a better keeper for me then Radke. Not like that popped out of no where during the middle of the season.

Chisoxfn
This weekend I'm thinking of making rosters final in the weekly league. Then rosters will be frozen (you won't be able to add anyone) and then we'll have like a two week period of trades before the keepers are due. I just need to have a final list of players before yahoo erases it all.
SuperSteve
Makes sense. I say just submit every team on here and then we'll go from there.
Gene Honda Civic
I haven't responded yet, but I'm in... I vote for 6 keepers. 7 I think makes the league a little too static. 6 also should make for some interesting calls.. I have some really good pitchers, but how many should I keep? Will I be able to pick up enough offense if I save 4 pitchers? Will Roger Clemens pitch again? he's going to be a tough one to decide on. tough decisions. Winning Ugly
WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS LEAGUE? I don't know if I'm in it or not. Can someone please PM me??? I have been asking that question since the first time keepers were brought up. It is the Soxtalk Weekly League. We did the draft last spring, and it is all Soxtalk members. knightni
I have keepers in another league. Unless there are new owners to be gotten, we usually allow people to decide on keepers right up until a week before the draft. Injuries, retirements, and trades change the complexion of the game so much at times in the offseason. Because of that, we decided to hold off on declaring them until we absolutely had to. PS, if there are any openings for '05, please let me know!

Then we could make trades at anytime, revolving around what goes on in the offseason. BTW, I am sure there are going to be open spots for people who haven't come back. I say we just give people their teams if they want to play.

danman31
I'd rather have 5 keepers, but 6 is more than ok. That's just me complaining because no 6 guys stand out. I wish I had known that this was going to be a keeper league, I wouldn't have dealt Delgado. I say we should name our keepers after the season, but have the ability to switch keepers. I want to hold off on naming them too. Make sure no one gets injured and what not. I don't know what everyone elses takes are though about being able to switch them once they are made. I don't know how most keeper leagues work, but what everyone else thinks works for me. This weekend I'm gonna do an excell sheet of all the teams, so once the season ends all free agent type pickups must be done. Then all trades will be conducted on these boards or what not and if you have a trade just post it here so everyone can see and pm me and then I'll make the switch on the rosters. After like a two week trade window...we'll do a completely roster freeze and then have a period where keepers or do. That or we could just set a 3 week deadline for keepers and allow trades all the way till the final day.
