BobDylan
That may be what you want, but I seriously doubt it will happen that way (Uribe fulltime at SS and Harris at 2B). Are you not listening to Guillen criticizing Harris' deficiencies and inconsistencies, and Guillen stating that Uribe is not ready to be a full time SS? He's made statements on both players several times. Guillen may have no choice.
BobDylan
I highly doubt Konerko has every recieved a Gold Glove Vote from anyone other than his mom. You don't have to be a gold glover to be a good fielder.
Gene Honda Civic
You don't have to be a gold glover to be a good fielder. No but good fielders get mentioned in GG voting -- Konerko doesn't.
YASNY
Varitek would be worth the 6 to 8 million it takes to get him. He's exactly the type of player the Sox need to pick up. He's a gamer.
witesoxfan
Konerko may have a good glove. Royce Clayton had a good glove too though. His range, on the other hand, was pitiful. This holds true for Konerko as well.
Old Socks
If you were able to poll available Free Agents, and ask them which franchises they would like to be a part of and which they would not, where do you think they would place the White Sox? Other than Chicago being a great city for a jock, don't you think that the perception of the White Sox is a franchise on the way down? I don'dt expect any significant FA signings this winter. israel4ever
:headshake Sad, but true. Our only hope is if there are FAs who want to play for Ozzie.
Guest JimH
Guillen may have no choice. You might be right. Then again, he might have significant say, and choice, in what's on the roster. My guess is the latter.

This holds true for Konerko as well. Just based on my own personal observation, I'd agree with you about Konerko's range. He has a good glove and is good at picking low throws, but his lateral movement is nothing special. But, the Sox have far worse problems than Konerko's fielding, that's for sure.
