Rowand44
If the Twins get out of the ALDS...they will win it all. The redsox and twins will play each other in either the alds or alcs, whoever wins that series wins the world series, imo.
Rowand44
Uribe is just a cheaper version of cabrera. I wonder where I've heard that before.

Whitewashed in '05
Well that's jmo but that's honestly how I feel. I don't know what I want, if the Twins win it all, it will mean the sox got beat by the best and the division will get some respect. On the opposite side it could intimidate the sox next year to play them because the whole thing about them winning it all could be scary. What would be the best scenario?? Rowand44
So you are telling me that we are one free agent away from having a better rotation then Mulder-Hudson-Zito-Harden-Redman? Hell, Rich Harden would probably be our damn ace...and he may not start in the playoffs for Oakland. Well that staff is the best 1-5 in the al, however there has been a lot of talk about one of the big 3 getting traded so we'll see how that goes. I think if we sign one of the top line starters in the offseason we have a very, very good rotation. I disagree about Harden being our ace Wite, he's damn good don't get me wrong I personally think Buehrle and Garcia are better, jmo, even though Harden has been lights out the 2nd half of the season. I don't think it matters either way. Trust me, I don't want the twins to do well but I think them and the bosox are the two most complete teams, not to mention the twins have johan and everyone else doesn't

Bulls***, Harden has been lights out in the 2nd half but you are forgetting about his inconsistency in the 1st half. I would name him 3 on our team even if he had a great 1st half just because of the experience from Buehrle and Garcia as our 1 and 2, but that 's jmo. I know our 3 and 4 hitters went down but comon, getting swept what? Back to back that's just pitifull.
Whitewashed in '05
Am I the only one admitting that Contreras isn't such an ace everyone else is thinking he is? To tell you the truth, I hate him... To me it just looks like its the adventure for a fifth starter all over again next season.

Honestly none of them are ''aces'' but on the white sox they are forced into that role.

Quite frankly, this team is full of goddamn projects, and more then 1 project is too many, hell, one could argue that having 1 project is one too many. If he can start to use his fastball more consistently, using that to set up his split finger, then he could become a dominant starter. Until then, he is no better then Judy. I'm not sure how many of you watched his start on friday or saturday I forgot which day it was, his stats weren't excellent but he really used his fastball a lot I really think that start can be huge for him, I'm interested to see how he throws in his next start even if it doesn't mean anything. Well he will never stop using his splitter as much as he is now so imo he is worse that Garland.
