danman31
I wish I had FSW so I could watch the soccer. Rugby and Aussie Football make no sense to me so I find it hard to watch.

Yea its pretty nice to have....especially now that the Sox are out of it, I now follow Euro soccer more than any other current sport... BTW....my pick for Champions League this year: Barcelona Rugby I do kind of understand after watching the world cup last year, Aussie Football I got a ways to go. And Cricket, WAY OVER MY HEAD

And Cricket, WAY OVER MY HEAD Honestly, I don't think there is a big difference between rugby and Aussie football. They look the same to me. As for the Champions League I don't have a pick, but my favorite Euro team is Roma and they are pretty f***ed. It's ridiculous though. If the White Sox got banned from Comiskey after the Gamboa incident there would be f***ing hell to pay. Why does the team have to pay for it's fans? UEFA is f***ing retarded with it's stadium bans. Oh, and cricket is actually somewhat simple. I don't know the specifics of it, but I understand the basics. As for Cricket if its so easy then how does the scoring work and how can the game go on for days on end???? And Roma what is the situation for them? Is that game goin to be made up or has it been forfeited? UEFA is just too big and has too much to deal with they never seem to get anything right... As much as I know is this: similar to baseball there is a pitcher and hitter of sorts. The "hitter" hits the ball and runs back and forth between what is similar to bases except there are only 2 of them. Each time you touch a base I think it's a score of sorts. The fielding team has to tag him while he is off the base or wait for play to stop (I don't know when they determine that). There are ways to get the guy out like catching the ball thing I think is one of them. As for how long it lasts it has to do with the overs I think they are called (like innings) and there are a certain numbers of "outs" for each over. I don't really get the overs part. Mostly it's hazy to me, but I'm only a few holes away from getting the sport. Oh about Roma...a fan threw something at the ref towards the end of the 1st half of the CL opener against Dynamo Kiev after he gave Christian Chivu a red card a few minutes earlier. Roma was losing 1-0 and was given a forfeit. They now have to play their remaining 2 CL home games in group play at a neutral site. :fyou UEFA Edited September 24, 2004 by danman31
