AngelasDaddy0427
Honestly I don't get all the sarcasm and pessimism over next year. If we did nothing in the offseason this is what our lineup would be in 05' CF-Rowand SS-Uribe DH-Thomas 1B-Konerko LF-Lee RF-Everett/Escobar C-Davis/Burke 3B-Crede 2B-Harris You add a stud power hitting OF in there and I say we have a good shot at a contending team next year. I do think we need some trades and moves to put us over the top. Does anyone think it would still in possible to get Andrew Jones and move Rowand into RF. Maybe a trade of Jones for Garland. In the national league, in a pitchers park, Jon could easily become the Ace of that staff in less then 2 years. Not only that they are known for getting the most of their pitchers. Plus they want to shed payroll. Everyone knows I'm a Garland fan and i'm usually against trading him but I think that IF we could get a guy like Jones to shore up our offense and then turn around and sign another solid starter then it would be worth it. Anyone think this would be possible??
Gene Honda Civic
How long can kenny williams sit there without signing a competent fifth starter before we fire him? Needs: Better third baseman Willie Harris or Jose Valentin to get the boot (Valentin's gone but preferably Harris too) Garland put up or shut up Better right fielder Fifth starter (or maybe 1,2,3, or 4) Welcome to Soxtalk. First round's on me.
Yossarian
Once more what the hell are you smoking? Yeah this post stunned me. Is this really serious or is it the mania phase?
