The Critic
I honestly don't care one way or the other if the Cubs win or lose any game. A lot of my family likes them, so they'd be happy if the Cubs won something. But if they lose again, the vast majority of their fanbase would find some other scapegoat and celebrate that. Either way it doesn't make me happy, angry or sad - it used to, but it doesn't anymore. As far as the "longest streak without a WS win" goes, the only way I'd be upset about the Cubs winning is if they beat the White Sox to do it. Sorry if that makes me "less of a Sox fan".... :rolly
Rowand44
There is no way on god's green earth that I ever want to see the f***ing Cubs win anything. Ditto. I never want to see the cubs win s***, I honestly could care less though what they're doing when the sox are still in the race.
Yoda
which would you rather hear cubs b****ing about how they are cursed for years to come or for them win a world series and maybe quit their b****ing for once... yeah they might brag but hey if you win the world series its your right and i much rather have that then the we are cursed routine I’ll take the b****ing any day. I rather see Cub fans crying instead of seeing the Cubs jumping around the Urinal while holding a World Series trophy. Now that would be f***ed up. GoodAsGould
i still dont see why everyone cares about the cubs so much... i mean i dont like them.... there fans are annoying but honestly there are some sox fans that would rather see the cubs lose then sox win... and when it goes that far it is rather pathetic :puke

For every game the Cubs win, part of the White Sox organization dies. For every Cubs playoff appearance, a large part of the White Sox dies. If the Cubs were to win the World Series, the city of Chicago would become a walking, talking mess of blue and red. Instead of your average little Billy watching the White Sox and enjoying seeing them play, he'll watch a team that actually wins. THAT'S why it is important for White Sox fans to despise the Cubs. This is already a Cubs town. Sox fans have to hope for the best and hope to see it become a Sox town again, like it was in the 80s. The White Sox probably need a World Series victory more then any other team in the majors. The Red Sox and Cubs have gotten there and choked, many, many times. they have been close. And because of that, they b**** and complain about bad luck. Meanwhile, you don't hear the majority of White Sox fans complaining about bad luck or anything stupid like that...Red Sawks fans complain about not having won a World Series since 1918, but truth be told, they won their last World Series more recently then the Sox. It's not our fault that they choked and lost multiple World Series in 7 games(including the 75 Series and Buckner in 86 too...they were lucky enough to be in the World Series as it was that year, and them getting to the World Series was a large part in driving Donnie Moore to commit suicide). f*** the Cubs. f*** the Red Sox. I hate both franchises, the more I get to thinking about it. I hope for the good of the game that neither team ever wins another World Series title. I'd much rather see the Twins win it, or preferably, the Cardinals. The fans of those teams do not complain, even when the times are rough...they deserve a World Series title. Jordan4life_2007
Even with the choke job today. I fully expect the Cubs to win the wc. Unlike the Sox, they're able to take advantage of a cupcake schedule when they have to. I look forward to witnessing another playoff choke job, though. GoodAsGould
im sorry but the cubs have not been there many times and choked they were close last year yeah but other then that they been pretty s***ty throughout history we have been more successful then the cubs.... thats why i think they gain more fans from the curse so the sooner its gone the sooner we can all go about living our lives

Hell, I don't think I could even watch baseball if they simply got to the world series.
DonkeyKongerko
This is the order of teams I would like to see win the WS if the playoffs started today: Oakland, St. Louis, Minnesota, Atlanta, LA, NY, Boston, Nobody
SoxFan562004
The Braves might not just give up the games to the Cubs. I think if the Cubs make the playoffs they would play the Braves in the first round, so the Braves might not want to face the Cubs rotation (which may have had its struggles, but is still really good) in the first round.... So the Braves may treat the series like a playoff series and try to keep the Cubs out of the playoffs
