Gene Honda Civic
Hermanson has appealed his suspension. Cub fans are crying that STL is rolling over against Houston. It's not like they get to close half the last 12 games of the season against a pitching staff so bad, it's historical. The Reds Staff is among the top 10 worst in Runs Saved Above Average in the last 30 years. They have the worst RSAA of any team not playing half of their games in Coors Field for the last 30 seasons. whitesoxfan99
7-3 Giants Giants held on and beat the Padres. Now a tie for the wild card.
WSoxShuf
Giants held on and beat the Padres. Now a tie for the wild card. Hell yeah I love it. Go reds and Giants and Stros tomorrow
whitesoxfan99
Also, Dodgers came back from being down 4-0 in the 9th against the Rockies to win. The more games they win the better, hopefully they have a playoff spot clinched going into the weekend series against the Giants.

Let's hope so, although a Dodgers vs Giants series with the division on the line would be very entertaining to watch.
The Bones
If losing 3 of their last 4 games against the Mets and Reds isn't choking, I don't know what is... oh wait, maybe losing 3 straight to the Marlins when you have a 3 games to 1 lead with the last 2 games at home with your 2 stud pitchers starting. Maybe St. Louis is taking it easy since they are slapping the s*** out of the rest of the leauge.
quade36
who cares about the cubs. watching their fans, win or lose, I watched the sox horrible game last night. To me that was more important then the cubs losing even if the season is over for the sox. There are still some goals, like being over .500 for the season. The Critic
There are still some goals, like being over .500 for the season. ...and staying ahead of the Injuns for that ALL-IMPORTANT second-place money...
israel4ever
The Sox are out of it...who cares? We can still root for the Astros, Giants and/or Padres! :fthecubs
WSoxShuf
I watched more of the Cub game than the Sox game last night. Right now, thats better baseball to watch. Sox-Tigers is just sad. At least the Cub game has playoff implcations. f*** playoff implications, im watching so i dont have to hear those f***ers talk for the next few weeks. Flash Tizzle
Top of the 8th, Cubs leading 2-1 over Cincinatti. 7th inning the Reds pitcher slips on the grass while fielding a bunt, which leads to a Moises Alou sacrifice fly to pull the Cubs infront. This afternoons pitiful performance is only appropriate of the National League prostitutes. Hawkins is out for the 9th. Reds have any sort of heart they will show some life against LeToya. Why are the Cubs prolonging their collapse? f***ING LOSE ALREADY!
whitesoxin'
Jimenez with his 3rd triple of the year, 2 outs man on third with the Reds down by one. Let's go Reds!
Flash Tizzle
2 out triple for Jiminez. Cmon Reds. Pull this one out for White Sox fans.

danman31
Why wasn't Hawkins this horrible with the Twins? We would have f***ing won the division if that prick was sucking. :fyou
Flash Tizzle
Falling down in the count after missing two straight fastballs I thought a strikeout was imminent. What a sequence of events to score that run. Its almost as if the baseball gods are conspiring innovative, heartbreaking methods of torturing Cub fans. If we've taken notice of anything with this Cubs team, its how anything that can go wrong will. Reds should win today.
Flash Tizzle
Patterson is going to go yard in the 9th, watch. Just have a bad hunch. It could happen, but it simply doesn't sound right. Winning today's vital game overshadows Hawkins blown save. I knew following Steve Bartmans interference in Game 6 Cubs would lose, and a similiar feeling is evident right here. This loss would be simply backbreaking for the Cubs as odds would dictate either Houston or SF wins later tonight.
SoxFan562004
F, Casey just grounded into a DP, 2 outs in top of 11th Sorry if this has been posted, but I think Hawkins is 2 of 10 in 1 run saves... that is horrible!!!

I knew following Steve Bartmans interference in Game 6 Cubs would lose, and a similiar feeling is evident right here. This loss would be simply backbreaking for the Cubs as odds would dictate either Houston or SF wins later tonight. this will be a "vital" win for the Cubs no matter what, but with Hawkins blown save it would be a "costly" win. The Cubs haven't had a day off in like 2-3 weeks, with that double header to Florida trip and they've played at least 3 11 inning games with Pitt and NY, so the innings are piling up for the bullpen, and even for the players who are hurt like Ramirez and Nomar... Flash Tizzle
F, Casey just grounded into a DP, 2 outs in top of 11th Unbelievable. Three straight innings Cubs have had the leadoff man aboard. Reds pitching is doing everything within their power to lose this game.
fathom
I have no clue why the Reds didnt try to steal with Castro or a pinch runner against Farnsy there. Casey is so slow, and Farnsy takes forever to deliver the ball. This Reds bullpen is beyond awful though.
SoxFan562004
Sosa at second with one out and Barrett up, they should IW him so there's a force at third and the Cubs have to use a PH for Farnsworth... also Barrett is probably the Cubs most clutch player
Flash Tizzle
Onwards to the 12th inning. Dusty Baker is going to be ridiculed (and rightfully so) for PH Ben Grieve in a situation where a base hit could win the game.
