Flash Tizzle
f*** YEAH!!! I don't care if people call me a "bad Sox fan" because I hate the Cubs... Screw them and screw their fans when/if Cubs are officially eliminated I am going to post a dirty, hurtful rant I'll admit my stature as a "Cub Hater." Jay Hood may label us as "jealous, envious" but a late season collapse is fitting for their arrogant fanbase. Last several days, local media publications have printed an abundance of pieces anticipating a playoff birth. Tomorrow will be interesting to observe how Mike Kiley (a noted Cub propogandist) and others spins these events. :fthecubs
WSoxShuf
I am in an office of 15, yes 15 Cubs fans. We were all watching on TV. they broke out the 24 pack in the 9th inning, and when Kearns hit the double I sware 4 beers were spilled. I felt like the Dolphins fan in the NFL commercials where he is surrounded by all Jets fans and he scrams and they look at him like he is nuts. f*** them they are all in the bad mood, and guess who gets to finish up the 24 pack, Dan the Man the sox fan

Nothing like seeing a stupid Flubbs fan looking like he just got kicked in the junk.
Flash Tizzle
Fellow Sox fans, I suggest all of us bask in this GLORIOUS defeat and soak in the media fallout. ESPN 1000: Henry "Tiny Dong" is noticeably upset and is concerned the St. Louis Cardinals will mail in today's game. His quotes have enlightened my evening: "This is the first time all year I believe they may not make the playoffs," and "I can't believe this!" WGN 720: Broadcasters are calming the fears of Cub fans claiming hope is still alive. Tribune management has made sure nothing sort of unbridled enthusiasm is said on the airwaves. WSCR 670: Jay Hood is comforting Cub fans to whore his ratings. Too bad these Bandwagon fans who call in haven't followed the team until they've opened this morning newspapers. Regardless of their stupidity, my seal of approval for radio entertainment is given to this station. Enjoy.

Regardless of their stupidity, my seal of approval for radio entertainment is given to this station. Enjoy. JHood has pissed me off this entire year of his constant slamming of Sox fans, all the while polishing the knob of the Cubs organization. He gets mad because Sox fans don't flood the lines to talk about the Sox, but gets pissed because a Sox fan called in to gloat, saying he doesn't like the "smell" of a Sox fan. Screw him and his Cubbie love.
Nokona
I dont get to listen to much of his show now that it's in the afternoons but it seems like J Hood has sold out. At night he was always seemed tobe talkin Sox baseball. You guys make it seem like he's completely become a koolaid lover. What happened? Or are you guys just taking it a bit over the edge? whitesoxin'
It was great to get away from my s***ty week and watch the Cubs blow it. I tuned in during the top of the 9th to see Hawkins work his magic and then the Kearns homer.

Jordan4life_2007
If only he could hav done it for the Twinkies as well. :banghead He was their set-up man though. It's quite obvious the guy thrives in the set-up role. He's simply not a closer. The Cubs had no choice when Borowski went down. I had a feeling all season long the Cubs bullpen would be their downfall. Even when they signed Nomar I felt this way. Their biggest mistake was not upgrading their pen. AngelasDaddy0427
Borowski was a total fluke. I heard the cubs were actually begging the Marlins to send them Koch last week. Thats how bad Hawkins has gotten.
Texsox
Remember the Cub Motto: We only win today to make losing tomorrow that much more painful. Who wants to see a Sunday collapse? Even better if a little fan interference could happen again. Go Astros
southsider2k5
Sosa goes deep, 1-0 Cubs. Top 7. And much more impressive, Mark Prior 6 IP 2h 0R 13K 0BB , the really bad news for Sox fans is only 80 pitches.
EvilJester99
The Scrubs are going to hate Kearns if they don't already hehehe
SoxFan562004
Can we as soxtalk.com send Kearns something? I don't know, free drinks, pick up his dinner tab... this guy is AWESOME!!! Oh yeah, if the Braves weren't going to do all they can to prevent facing the Cubs in the first round, they will after Prior's outing today I might have to name my first born son Beckett Kearns

fathom
Wish I could say he was safe, but he was barely out. Walker got off a very weak throw on that ball to make it closer than it should have been.
