A source close to the singer said last night: "Britney has told only her family and closest circle that she is pregnant." The pregnancy, which Spears, 22, has privately admitted, is a dream come true, and marks the end of a turbulent year for the pop star. First she eloped to Las Vegas with childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander, but the marriage was annulled after 55 hours. She met her new husband, dancer Kevin Federline, in April while he was still involved with actress Shar Jackson. Federline, 26, has reportedly signed a pre-nuptial agreement which gives him $250,000 for each year of marriage if he and Spears split. Last night the source said: "Britney only learned she was expecting recently and she's less than eight weeks pregnant. It's why she pulled her wedding date forward to September." Posing for Playboy is the pinnacle of one's career. She may hold off that moment for quite a few years. Whether its tomorrow or 10 years from now, Britney in Playboy will draw huge interest. Tiffany waited over a decade to pose nude and its not because she's a babe. The demographic of playboy subscribers (which I believe are 30-45 age range) grew up waiting for this moment. I would hate for Spears to stall 11 years while she's rounding America playing backyard, hillbilly fesitvals. Journey has already marked their territory in these circuits. But if I'm wrong......it will usher a GLORIOUS age of teenage idols attempting to salvage their fame within the pages of Playboy. Aguillera, Moore, Simpson? Yes. My ultimate line: 5 years on Playboy.
