witesoxfan
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1889533 Pretty crazy turn of events...if Guillen becomes a problem for Anaheim, he is a guy the Sox should look at picking up to play RF for them. If they could get him(this is, of course, assuming Anaheim would want to deal him), there would be less of a need to try and get Beltran. Gene Honda Civic
Roids OPS 2004: 849 2003: 928 2002: 654 2001: 695 2000: 750 1999: 655 That's like Timo Perez suddenly becoming Carlos Lee.
DBAHO
There's been rumors Anaheim could want Konerko perhaps. Any chance of a Joe Crede, Damaso Marte, Joe Borchard and Paul Konerko for Scott Shields, Dallas McPherson and Jose Guillen deal perhaps? redandwhite
There happy with Shields and Mcpherson, if Guillen is a problem, they will trade him and most likely only him.
DBAHO
There happy with Shields and Mcpherson, if Guillen is a problem, they will trade him and most likely only him. I could only see them dealin Shields and McPherson for a real big player like Randy Johnson. Of course with Glaus leaving probably for Seattle, they'll need McPherson at third unless they want to keep Chone Figgins there.
qwerty
From rotoworld. Angels suspended outfielder Jose Guillen for the rest of the season and the playoffs for inappropriate conduct following his removal from Saturday's game. Guillen became animated after he was replaced by a pinch-runner Saturday, and things must have got very heated in the clubhouse after the game. The Angels are trying to suspend him without pay, so there's a good chance we'll see a grievance here. It also seems likely that the Angels will seek to trade him this winter. Guillen is in the middle of a two-year, $6 million contract with an option for 2006. Despite his attitude problems, the Angels will get decent value should they move him. With Guillen out, the team will probably use a platoon of Jeff DaVanon and Adam Riggs in left field for the rest of the season. Sep. 26 - 9:12 pm et So it looks like he will be some where else next year.

DBAHO
:puke Let's make them toss in k-Rod or Figgins!!! If there was 1 untouchable beside Vlad for the Angels, it would be K-Rod I guarantee you.
Palehosefan
I guess I'm the only one not the least bit excited about bringing in a clubhouse cancer in a clubhouse thats not exactly thriving with leaders. No thanks.

No thanks. That is the downside to him he is a total f***ing prick. Has always been known for being selfish and disrespectful towards all his teammates. But he does put up pretty damn good numbers for cheap.
DonkeyKongerko
Does anyone know what he did exactly? To get suspended for the rest of the season without pay would require him to breach his contract or maybe commit a crime I would think. What the hell did he do in the clubhouse? No question in the world KRod won't go anywhere. With them most likely letting Percival go, he's their closer next year. I'd take Guillen, yes I would. Texsox
I guess I'm the only one not the least bit excited about bringing in a clubhouse cancer in a clubhouse thats not exactly thriving with leaders. No thanks. Ozzie will know how to handle him I'm wth you. Anyone with his numbers that can get tossed off a team in the final week of the season trying to get into the playoffs, isn't anyone I'd want on my roster. They wouldn't trade Mcpherson this year for Johnson, and they won't trade him this offseason for nothing. I'd be fine with just taking Guillen though. qwerty
Jose Guillen - OF - Angels The MLBPA filed a grievance Monday seeking to overturn the Angels' suspension of Jose Guillen. An arbitrator will hear the case on Friday. The suspension could be overturned, making Guillen eligible to play in the final two or three games of the regular season. Of course, there's no reason to think the Angels would actually want to use him. Sep. 27 - 8:15 pm et From rotoworld.
Chisoxfn
All I can say is this...deal Konerko, deal Lee, acquire Guillen (give them Garland if thats what it takes; I am assuming that Guillen will still have trade value).

If you're dealing PK, Carlos AND Garland, plus losing Ordonez to FA, you'd better be getting 2 better-than-Garland pitchers AND another bat besides Guillen in return. Another thing to consider is that the Sox are losing that LEGENDARY CLUBHOUSE LEADER, josE6 valentin(e), so to lose that leadership and add a cancer could be dangerous.
