Freedom of speech

Ok, so on this board we have a few pro war people and a few protesters. So the protesters will come along and say "war sucks and bush is an idiot". Then the pro war guys come along and say "youre clueless, shut up". Then yall come back and say "why, thats unconstitutional, you cant tell us to shut up, youre denying us our freedom of speech". But by saying we cant tell you to shut up, youre denying our freedom of speech. You dont have to shut up but we can still tell you to. You can tell us to shut up too. If ya gonna preach freedom of speech this should be included...

i have nothing wrong with freedom of speech but being a bunch of thugz closing main streets, breaking store windows, starting fights with police officers.

I know im not the smartest person here but how is that peace?

CNN just shows the violence in protests for ratings. For the most part especially in the US and Canada protests are peaceful. Not sure if I can say that about other countries though.

If it bleeds, it leads. MSNBC has already said in their documents that got leaked that they are VERY apprehensive to show anything "Critical of the Bush regime and being anti-war" so of course they will show the VERY FEW violent protests to discredit the entire anti-war movement. NBC is owned by GE (a major weapons manufacturer) and GE gets editorial rights over the news. So of course they won't put anything on critical of the war because then GE won't be able to sell as many death weapons.

After CNN's lying about the '99 globalization WTO protests in Seattle, they can't really be believed that much either...and don't even get me started on Faux, er I mean Fox News.

The American media is owned by big conglomorate corporations who are looking out for their own interests in the news. They aren't going to show things critical to their interests.

I'd figure that a "liberally slanted media" would portray the positive anti-war protests, break the story about how Powell's UN speech was plagiarized, et al. But that didn't and won't happen.

What a liberal media. ;)

The media loves to hype up pacifism and anti-war sentiment as being anit-American because TV war coverage is a cash cow. Therefore, the media that provides (and conviently, censors) what you see slants everything in its own best interest... Finding the worst and stupidest war protestors.
