Gene Honda Civic
...for Strikeouts... Adam Dunn first tied, then passed Bobby Bonds for the most ever strikeouts in a season with 191. Oh and Ichiro! only needs one hit to tie Sisler.

And I am watching the Ichiro game on Gameday, he just got out in his 4th plate appearence. 256 and counting...
witesoxfan
I think it's funnier then hell that so much was made about Jose Hernandez potentially breaking it a couple years back, and was then sat so he wouldn't be criticized for it. This year, it's no big deal...probably because Dunn has hit 45 homers and has an OPS of .950 and is actually a real good player too. This is probably going to be good for Dunn, like losing 20 for the first time in a million years was for Maroth. He will be a better player for it. Texsox
I'm waiting for someone to develop a "quality strikeout" stat. I believe Jose would "lead" that category. For example strikeouts with men in scoring position. Strikeouts to end a inning. Strikeouts on out of the strikezone sliders away.

Jose might lead the American League, but I know a certain roid-loaded, cork-filled scatter-armed, iron-gloved, hypersensitive Gladiator who would DOMINATE the "QK" rating in the National League...
