Man that year was awesome.
Buehrle>Wood
Greatest Moment Seeing Bonds' 500 HR. Worst Moment Watching My Illini somehow finding a way to lose in the round of 32 against a very weak Notre Dam team.
southsider2k5
Best moments. Broadcasting the Indiana High School basketball final 4 from the Hoosier Dome in 1994. South Bend Clay beat Valpo for the state title. Game 1 of the 2000 playoffs, until the end of the game. Sox rally from 7-0 deficit to beat the Cubs. Manchester College playing Wisconson Whitewater for the division 3 national title Worst moments. Illinois Weslyan hitting a shot a full second and a half after the buzzer went off to win the openning round playoff game of the D3 NCAA tourney. 1984 season 1994 season 2001 season
NUKE_CLEVELAND
This is too easy. January 26th 1986 DA BEARS win the superbowl and the players carry Ditka off the field in a victory strut.
YASNY
This is too easy. January 26th 1986 DA BEARS win the superbowl and the players carry Ditka off the field in a victory strut. Bingo. I was scrolling this topic hoping no one would mention that. But since you did ... That was the first Chicago championship that I was old enough to remember. '61 Hawks and '63 (?) Bears were a bit before my time, though I do recall Sox teams from that era.

Fotop
Worst Moment Watching My Illini somehow finding a way to lose in the round of 32 against a very weak Notre Dam team. "Weak" Notre Dame team? Come on, you can say that it was your worst moment, but to say a team that beat you in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament is "weak" is just sour grapes. I was at that game, and ND just outplayed Illinois...plain and simple. Plus our talent that year was pretty damn deep (Chris Thomas, Matt Carroll, Danny Miller, Torin Francis = all quality players). Either way, you can't really call a major conference team in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament "very weak".
Heads22
Best: My HS team surprising the rest of the state. We are 3-18 and win in the first round of the playoffs, upsetting one of the better teams in the conference on their court. The 1999-2000 season when the Iowa State men's basketball team was undoubtedly one of the Top 3 in the nation. Their loss to Michigan State, which the Cyclones were leading until late in the second half, was called the real national championship game. ISU gets screwed getting a 2 seed in the region with the best team in the nation. On the way there, the Clones lost 4 other games, including 1 to Drake. The others were to Cincy who was number 1 at game time and Oklahoma and Colorado on the road in overtimes. Undoubtedly best season in Iowa State history. Marcus Fizer was good then.....real good. First half of ISU's 2002 football season that jettisoned them up to 9th in the rankings.... Worst.... The second half of the 2002 season that destroyed and good feeling from the first half of the season. My God, every Sox season for a while now.
