danman31
What was the significance of that game again? They still won the wildcard so it seems like a mute point.

Flash Tizzle
What was the significance of that game again? They still won the wildcard so it seems like a mute point. Final week of the '98 season the Cubs were in a similiar situation as this year. Every game was important. It was the final out of this infamous game when Brant Brown dropped a routine fly ball. On the "OH NO!" clip you can ever hear the fans loudly cheering in the background. They were all standing; anticipating a win. Cubs eventually lost this game. Cubs eventually clinched the wild card birth at home following a decisive, one- game playoff against San Francisco. You're right to label the event as "mute," but its hilarious nevertheless. Cali
That Bonnie Berstein "2 Dicks" thing is still hilarious, I remember watching the Bears game when that happened. Good stuff.
danman31
Not exactly. It's moot. /english lesson. Funny thing about that is that I used dictionary.com because I wasn't sure. Needless to say their definition of moot did not give me what I wanted. <_>
DonkeyKongerko
The definition of moot is contrary to current usage. In fact it has come to mean the opposite of its original meaning which is pretty f***ed up imo.
