I'm waiting for the Astros or Giants to win tonight before I celebrate but it is looking very good right now.

Switching between local radio outlets and Cubs.com the "blame Dusty" campaign has begun. :headbang

It is possible Cub fans have grasped the idea of blaming an actual person for their losses, instead of a Billy Goat curse?

I'll believe it when fans stop showing up when the team is 30 games below .500.

they can always blame bartman again

Things would be a lot different if the Cubs were to win 6 out of 6 from the Chicago White Sox. But no. The Sox took 2 out of 3 at the Cell and if the Cubs don’t make it to the playoffs than they may very well look back at the Cubs @ Sox series.

Though that's just my opinion. :)

No, they'll look back at when they lost 5 of 6 to cellar dwellers in the last week and a half of the season, and realize that they choked.

thank god for houston huh?

:D

I really got to hand it to the 'stros

They were left for dead, they had injuries to key players, they looked like they were done back in August.

No worries. They grabbed themselves by the balls and made something happen and they're going to compete for the Championship now. Good for them!!!

What a job by Phil Garner. It took him about 2 weeks to get them going and once he did they never let up.

Scrap Iron! :cheers
