israel4ever
I told you guys that the cubs will NEVER win with Dusty Baker as the manager. But, wait for the idiot cub fans to place blame on; 1) Steve Stone, 2) Wendell Kim, 3) NL Umpires, 4) Billy Goat curse, 5) Steve Bartman, etc. In reality, they have no closer, no on-base guys, no team speed, below average team defense, no heart and no balls! witesoxfan
What a job by Phil Garner. It took him about 2 weeks to get them going and once he did they never let up. Scrap Iron! He's a hell of a manger. Hell, he sparked us in 2000. He was managing the Tigers, but it all works out the same, doesn't it?
fathom
I really, really hope we're not jinxing ourselves here. The Cubs are not officially eliminated yet, and it's not unheard of for two teams (Giants and Astros) to lose 2 straight games. If the Cubs were to win their next 2 games, they still have an outside chance. I'll breathe much easier knowing that they're officially out of it. fathom
Well, the immature asshole, Carlos Zambrano, just drilled Chipper Jones in the hand/finger. It doesn't look too good for Chipper. Cubs are up 6-2 after the Braves pulled their starting pitcher. It would be great for my blood pressure if the Giants or Astros can win tonight. Saw on the FOX game that the Cubs are 1st in the NL in Home Runs but near the basement in walks, on base percentage etc.
